Hotel itself very new and very nice. Two pools:one inside and one outside are nice. It is right on the beach. The area surrounding the hotel is not so nice, though.

No free internet as advertised: 5th floor had NO ACCESS the entire time due to one cheap, crummy wireless router. Also, a HUGE problem: They are too cheap to provide screens on the balconies. We made the mistake of leaving it open for the breeze one evening and counted more than 20 mosquitoes and 7 flies buzzing around our room that night! AND they are too cheap to heat the INDOOR pool, so it's like ice .The outdoor pool even on a sunny day is like ice.

Considering that the two days previous to our stay the area had 13 inches of rain and most of the streets were flooded, the hotel took good care of us. Because I am a Silver Elite rewards member the hotel let us stay an extra 3 hours so we could enjoy the beach a little longer. It was greatly appreciated.

We had a very enjoyable stay, the room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. But the view was so beautiful, and it was so peaceful to sit out on the balcony and enjoy miles and miles of beach and the soft sounds of the ocean.

The hotel was perfect....the sound of the waves from the ocean were exhilarating but the comfort of the bed was lacking. Mattress was just too hard and the linen was like a commercial I saw...you make the bed so perfectly, lay down and all 4 corners pop off meeting you in the center. Linen definitely did not fit the bed and the mattress cover was like sleeping on sand dunes never to be smooth.

This was the second time in as many years that we've come here. Our family loves it! The staff is super friendly, professional, and accomodating. It has everything; oceanfront, outdoor and indoor pools, onsite restaurant, free internet, etc. We'll be back next year.

We asked to have a non-smoking room. We were put on the ONLY floor which allows smoking! Our complaints feel on deaf ears. Nothing they could do?.We were mierable the whole visit.

Within the last 2 years my husband and I have visited CB about 4 times and are getting ready to visit again and we always stay here. We love everything about the Courtyard.

Great hotel for couples and families. Great location, you can walk to resturants and shops in Carolina Beach. Very clean and the staff was very helpful. Rooms are very spacious with a private balcony. We got to sit on our private balcony and watch the 4th of July fire works. They went off right in front of our hotel. Great!! Great!! Great!!

My kids have high expectations when it comes to hotels. The Marroitt got them hooked right away with the hot-from-the-oven cookies at the registration desk! They had a great time at the beach (We had just come from Myrtle Beach and they enjoyed this one better) and the pool. We were only there one night, but I plan to return when we can stay longer.

This was a very upscale facility. Staff was very accomodating, and friendly. Rooms were clean, roomy, and excellent view of beach.

This establishment is new, very clean, staff very friendly. The staff made it very clear that they were there to accomodate their guest. I am already planning for several trips next year.

The Courtyard Marriot at Carolina Beach was nice but when my fiance and I got there we had to wait an hour and a half to finally get checked into our room. However, we did receive a free breakfast for the wait and the staff was very courteous and professional. The weather was nasty on the beach our second day of stay so we didn't really get to enjoy what we came here for but that's no ones fault. Overall we enjoyed the hotel, especially the spacious room we had.

This property seems to redefine this area, which I have been coming to for many years. The staff is A+ and seem to have a better sense of Marriott standards in this regard then most any other hotel I've ever stayed at, even the very high end resorts we have been to.

This was our second year staying at this hotel. Overall, the service is good. The location is great, but it just seems out of place in Carolina Beach. As another reviewer noted, PLEASE HEAT THE POOLS!!!!!! My kids did not mind, but the pools were chilly even in June.

We stayed at this hotel for the first and last time last August.The room was fine,but was not ready as promised and the staff(The maid) was rude to us in the hall. It was not worth the price.

We went for our honeymoon and got the Escape Pkg. We asked for non-alcoholic beverage in our package and receive WATER in the place of it. Instead of breakfast in our room, they directed us to the breakfast bar downstairs. We expected more for the cost of the hotel. The service was poor. We had no extra toilet paper in our room. I would not recommend this hotel to couples.

Enjoyed this hotel. The rooms were clean, the balconies weren't huge but all rooms have one, the bed was comfortable and the noise was minimal. A nice beach getaway!

This hotel was clean and the beds were very comfortable with thin bedspreads that were washed each day. The staff was very professional yet down to earth and very accomadating. There is one indoor pool with a hot tub and a beautiful outdoor pool with plenty of seating. A major plus is they provide poolside towels which can also be taken out on the beach. We did have some problems with the refridgerator, it didn't work properly and my son wasn't able to use the gamecube system because it was broken. However someone did come and fix these problems.

The hotel was nice! We especially liked it because it was right on the beach and very near the NC Aquarium.
