Great Place! - posted on 05/03/2007
This was very conveniently located to I-26, I-240 and I-40. The staff was wonderful and very helpful in giving directions and telling us about Asheville. The breakfast bar is wonderful
Not that good! - posted on 05/02/2007
From the reviews, I thought this would be a great place to stay while we were visiting the Biltmore but was sorely disappointed. The rooms were dated, the beds were very uncomfortable and the bathroom was just basic. The person at the desk was not very helpful or forthcoming with local information. The parking lot was extremely narrow and difficult to maneuver in and the location was not the best. We did not enjoy our stay at all with the exception of the breakfast. It was very good for a freebie.

Great Room, Great Value - posted on 01/23/2007
I travel a lot and I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Rooms were clean, staff friendly, and the breakfast is very good. You can't go wrong for the price. This was better than many expensive hotels I've stayed at. Only complaint I have is very narrow parking spaces, and not enough. Also, I wish they had a fire burning in the lobby. It's beautiful and it was cold. I had hoped to sit in front of it.

We're real fans of the free breakfast at any hotel we stay at. The selection at Country Inn & Suites was great. Everything was clean, everyone was helpful and courteous. It was a very relaxing stay while we were in Asheville.

Great stay! Rooms very clean and quiet. Parking lot is a bit small. The continental breakfast was wonderful. Make-your-own belgium waffles, biscuits and gravy, and the bacon were big hits. Would definitely stay again.
Best Cold Vacation Ever - posted on 11/13/2006
This was probably the cleanest hotel we've ever stayed in. The breakfast was surprisingly decent. Biltmore was close by and beautiful beyond belief. The trees were stunning and the Blue Ridge Parkway was amazing... we traveled North up to Mt. Mitchell (the highest point). The observation deck at the top of the mountain was being renovated, so we didn't actually make it to the highest point- a little disappointing, but the drive was cool (unexpected tunnels, blue ice, etc.). Asheville was a hip little city. Jack of the Wood had a band and loads of characters. Best cold vacation ever!

Great hotel to stay - Very clean and comfortable. Staff very nice-feels like home - They do need to have more staff during breakfast hours when hotel is booked. The lady that was working was getting hit from all sides. They had ran out of milk, batter for waffles, etc and she was working has hard as she could and got alittle snappy with some folks but she was really trying hard

Our hotel was easy to get to from the interstate which made it convenient for traveling around Ashville, NC. The staff was polite and very helpful. In fact, we dropped our cell phone near the pool when we were departing. They contacted us to tell that they had our phone and mailed it to us. We would definitely stay there again.

Hotel is clean, lovely hand paintings on the walls making you feel welcome. Staff friendly enough. Mattresses and pillows very uncomfortable. Parking lot is extremely narrow. Breakfast very good! Might stay there again if there was nothing else available closer to downtown.
Great hotel!!!!!!!!!! - posted on 07/12/2006
We stayed at this hotel as a weekend trip to Asheville. The location of the hotel was very easy to find because it's right off I-26. It's also 15 minutes away from downtown and about 30 minutes away from Chimney Rock Park and Lake Lure. McDonalds,a grocery store, and Ryans Steak House are very close to the hotel. The mall is right across the street. This Country Inn was very clean and quiet. Free breakfast is pretty good. The staff was very helpful but not when it came to directions. Get a map/ atlas or you will be lost! If we ever come to Asheville again I would stay here.

Great value - comfortable rooms, well outfitted, free continental breakfasts, in room refrigerator & microwave and free internet all very useful and handy during this trip, allowed us to stay in touch with family while visiting daughter and first grandchild.

Very nice. Had a Studio Suite and really liked the LARGE room. Also very quiet. Good hot breakfast. Certainly a whole lot better than Quality Inn - East Biltmore. VERY helpful young lady at check in desk. Only problem was the coffee pot in room was broken.

The breakfast was wonderful; make your own waffles and almost any kind of breakfast food you could want. Very clean rooms. The staff was very polite. My only complaint was the bulb out over the desk in my room. I notified front desk as soon as I got there and the young lady said she was busy but give her time and she woulb bring a new one but no one ever came.
excellant price and hotel - posted on 10/30/2005
We recently used this hotel for a four night stay. We found the hotel to be very well decorated and clean. They also provided a complimentary breakfast which was quite nice and the hostesses made every effort to keep the breakfast items stocked and the area clean. Overall we were very happy with our stay and will probably use this hotel if we travel to Asheville again. If there was anything that I could find fault with it would be that you can not make a left hand turn into the property when traveling north on Brevard.
Good price, good rooms - posted on 07/22/2005
The rooms were quaint and very clean. The complimentary breakfast rooms was large compare to others and had plenty of seats and tables. The food was good and you can make your own waffles. Not bad for the price. It is conveniently located near restaurants and Biltmore. The parking lot is very narrow, though. The lady we talked to about directions was very unknowledgeable. I hope they train their staff on how to give directions and locations of near attractions. But overall, we had a great stay.

No in-room movies, but neat and clean. I requested a room not by any elevators and of course the room they assigned us was right across from the main elevator. I went back down and they changed it right away. Hotel was quiet and very neat and clean - we'd stay again - but we'd like movies!
