There is no contradiction! Service was indeed above average, attentive to details and yet, it could be improved, thus the 4 rating. And we are not freaks about having somebody at our beak and call any minute. However, overall it was a pleasant stay, nice room, good room arrangement, attentive service (and we had half a dozen requirements, such as refrigerator in the room, different kind - softer - pillows, etc.) which were promptly responded to. We recommend this Hampton hotel; we are looking forward to try others.

This hotel is very nice. The rooms are spacious and the beds are so comfortable. The staff is very friendly. The only minus to this property is that there were not enough staff working check-ins (only 2). The breakfast is exceptional and the breakfast staff worked to ensure nothing ran out. It is also very close to everything (Asheville mall, Biltmore, Downtown, eating locations, etc.). I will be back.

Overall, the room and service were satisfactory. The only issues, and they were minor, were that the bathroom needed to be swept and it had a slight mildew smell when the shower was running.

This inn has every thing that make me relax away from home. Room is brand new and the staffs are courteous and helpful. It has even guest laundry facility and excercise rooms. It looks like two story ourside corridor inexpensive everyday motel, but inside is better than any New York city Holiday Inn hotel. The spacious and clean bathroom is impeccable. They serve hot breakfast, which is rare these days. This inn made us feel so relaxed and welcomed. I wish all hotels are like this, even in my dream.

This is a very nice facility; the lobby, rooms, pool and workout areas are very nice. The desk clerks are helpful and the location is good; easy to get to from the Interstate and convenient to shopping, restaurants and UNC-Asheville. The breakfast was fine, but the selection was not as good as most of the other Hampton Inns I've been too. The hot breakfast items were pre-made packaged items, and the selections of yogurt and hot breakfast items were limited. Other than that, no complaints! Very clean!

This was one of the nicest Hampton Inns we have ever stayed. The ambience was above the usual and the service was excellent. Had a great time!!

I have been to this hotel four times in the last four months. It's one of the nicest around. Staff, rooms and breakfast are great.

Excellent service and the cleanest rooms I've seen. The staff never hesitates to accomodate any request. Little touches like the cookies and tea in the lobby, a warm fire, and being greeted by every staff member make all the difference. I'll be back!
