The hotel was excellent. The rooms were clean and very large. The staff was very pleasant. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel.
Needs Severe improvement!! - posted on 04/23/2007
We stayed on the second and third floor. The reason we were moved to the third floor was because we were flooded out of our room. Water just started pouring from the ceiling! The staff did move us quickly, but didn't offer any apologies. They just kind of had an "oh well" attitude. The elevator had fingerprints and some kind of brown goo all over the doors. The carpet in the elevator, the halls, and the rooms was dirty and ancient. The bathroom on the third floor had a broken toilet seat and the sink was coming apart from the wall! I would definitely not recommend!!
Comfort Suite-Biltmore - posted on 03/08/2007
This hotel needs some serious renovations to the interior. New carpet, wallpaper, bathroom fixtures, etc. would really improve the look and smell of the hotel. Staff was fairly nice but not always available at front desk.
Great Hotel - posted on 11/30/2006
This hotel is in a great location, convenient to the mall, sightseeing, major interstates, and food. The front desk people were nice and very helpful with information about the area. The room was very spacious and clean. We did, however, have problems with the PPV movies. All in all, the stay was OK and I would highly recommend this hotel.
Comfort not so comfort - posted on 11/27/2006
I hate to complain but this was one of the dirtiest hotels I've stayed in. There was old food on the carpet. The bathtub looked as if it had never been cleaned. There was food or "something" on the bed and on the cushions. However, the staff was really nice. Her cleaning crew just wasn't getting it done, and she had to clean some rooms herself.
Bad trip - posted on 11/15/2006
Hotel room was very dirty, sink did not work, shower had brown plaster patches and dirt, sheets did not fit bed and had holes in it. Not a good experience!!!!!
Could be Cleaner - posted on 11/01/2006
Not worth the cost, room was dirty, shower had black mold all over the shower head, walls and ceiling, I mentioned it to the front desk, they said they would fix it, but never did. Will not stay there again
Good Value. - posted on 10/22/2006
Good staff, rooms and breakfast. Near interstate and Biltmore Mall.
Smelly Hallways - posted on 10/16/2006
Dirty, smelly hallways. One elevator not enough for the facility. Too small dining room. Uncomfortable beds.
terrible hotel - posted on 09/17/2006
Furniture in room was torn, dirty. Trash under bed. Carpet needed cleaning, front desk does not answer phone if they are busy. room could be on fire, but they won't answer. Unconcerned front desk staff. Definitely will not stay here again.
Great place to stay - posted on 08/31/2006
The Biltmore Comfort Suites was convenient for shopping (a mall was across the parking lot, we walked to it) and very good places to eat. The breakfast at the hotel was the best of its kind I've ever had for variety. Animals were allowed on the first floor, but not above that. The whole ist floor was booked with dog owners, but they didn't bother us at all. The hotel staff was very helpful and accomidating. WE would stay there again.
Pass this one by! - posted on 08/19/2006
Definitely NOT 3 star/diamond. Dirty. Room not cleaned, couch broken. Towels and soap removed and not replaced. Slow elevator. Pass on this one.
Good value for the money! - posted on 08/04/2006
The staff was good to deal with on the busy holiday weekend. Lots of amenities included in the room rate. Great hot breakfast every day. Good value for the money. Good location. We'd stay here again in a heart beat!
hotel needs remodeling - posted on 07/17/2006
I assumed because it said Biltmore Square Mall, it would be close to the Biltmore Estates. It was two exits away. Also it was worn. One elevator for the whole 5 floors and it broke so for 3 days we walked stairs. The toilet ran continually and the shower had mold in it-- I bought cleaner before I would get into it!
Filthy Place - posted on 07/09/2006
The place was filthy. When we checked under the bed at checkout time found trash and open bag of fritoes left by prior guest. Breakfast area was a zoo. It had to be 90 degrees in there, just jammed with people. The wife just wanted a cup of yogart. Not available. Also check in time is 3pm. We got there at 3:50 and had to wait for our room to be "cleaned". Wont be back, cannot recommend it.
great room - posted on 07/05/2006
I got this room for a great rate via priceline. I was really impressed with the size of the room. Also, the pool was really nice. I highly recommend this hotel.
Check under the beds! - posted on 06/26/2006
Found a shoebox from a previous occupant under the bed (???); airconditioner didn't work very well; front desk clerk was somewhat brusque at check-in; breakfast was disappointing (pre-formed "meat" patties? no fresh fruit except little apples, heavy on the carbs)
Tucked Away - posted on 06/02/2006
The staff at this hotel are amazingly helpful and pleasant. The suites are clean and quiet with a good bed and a good sofa and chair. It is like home.
very nice - posted on 05/15/2006
We enjoyed our stay at Comfort Suites, Asheville, N.C. Breakfast was good, staff was polite, convenient to restuarants & mall, rooms were clean, smelled good. We didn't like being near the elevator (booming sound when in use), so the desk clerk changed us to another room right away. Overall excellent experience.
not happy - posted on 05/02/2006
the suite was a nice size, but cleanliness left something to be desired. The bathtub was snasty, I had to buy cleaner and clean it myself in order to take a bath, soap scum and ring in tub, the carpet was dirty to the point when you walked in your socks, the socks were black, had to call maintinance to fix stopper in tub, not worth the price I paid
good stay - posted on 04/24/2006
the breakfast was pretty good. overall a nice place to stay. will stay here again when we come back.
Large Room - posted on 04/12/2006
Stay here each year for a class. Room size large. Refrig freezer had butter frozen in ice and microwave dirty. Public restrooms plumbing backed up. Make own waffles for breakfast and have fresh egg and sausage biscuits with gravy if into that. Good location for all in Asheville. Can walk to several restaurants. Had to run fan to cover noisy ice machine and people in hall late at night.
Nice Folks - posted on 04/05/2006
The hotel staff was very hospitable. Breakfast was varied--cereal, fruit, waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, bagels, etc. Room had a sitting area, frig. The bed was the worst part of the hotel--it was soft, felt very small for two folks. The bottom sheet kept coming off during the night because they were too small and slipped off the corners easily. (Lost much sleep on this)--(We moved out of the hotel on the fifth day in search of a better bed--and lost 4 nights of motel fees which were not refunded).
Nice Facility - posted on 03/31/2006
Great location, fair price. The "suite" size room is a nice increase from a standard room. Neat/clean rooms. Nice lobby with adequate breakfast area. Decent breakfast choices. Overall a good experience.
Great Experience!! - posted on 03/22/2006
This was a great hotel for the $$$. They had a pretty good free breakfast in the mornings. You could make your own waffles!! The room was clean, and the staff was friendly. We liked it.
Too Noisy - posted on 03/20/2006
This has to be the noisiest place I've ever stayed. You can hear showers and toilets flushing constantly during the night while you're trying to sleep. I was very disappointed and will not stay here again.
Bad Choice - posted on 02/15/2006
Hotel staff not very personable, slow to respond to request for additional supplies and extremely unhelpful when we experienced a problem. Would not stay at this hotel again! Bad experience all around.
Return Visit To Asheville - posted on 02/05/2006
I STAYED FOR SEVERAL DAYS ON BUSINESS AND THIS IS A FABULOUS HOTEL FOR EXTENDED STAYS. LARGE ROOMS, FREE WIRELESS, FREE HOT BREAKFAST EVERYDAY, DAILY HOUSEKEEPING, AND THE NEARBY RESTAURANTS ARE A HUGE PLUS!! IT IS VERY PEACEFUL AND RELAXING. AND A TREMENDOUS VALUE.
ASHEVILLE MOUNTAINS - posted on 01/15/2006
The hotel was quiet and very relaxing. It is away from heavy traffic and nearby shops and numerous restaurants. The wireless Internet works great and the rooms are refreshingly larger than standard hotel rooms. All rooms seem to come with a fridge and microwave among other things. The price and value was excellent. I can definetely recommend this hotel. Location is absolutely fantastic!!!
Good Stay In Asheville - posted on 01/05/2006
The rooms are impressive and clean. The satff is very friendly and the location is quiet. The mall is good to pass extra time and the food court was convenient. The large rooms are nicely equipped. WE CAN DEFINETELY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.
BARGAIN TRAVEL - posted on 12/24/2005
What a bargain -- the price point was fantastic and the product delivered perfectly. Large rooms with an excellent free hot breakfast and unbeatable location near Biltmore Estate. The mall and restarants all adjacent. A superior lodging experience -- hard to find these days.
Urban Dweller - posted on 12/22/2005
What a wonderful stay. The adjacent mall was excellent for passing time, and the dining choices are endless. They sell discounted Biltmore Estate tickets which is really cool -- avoid the lines and save money, a big plus! The rooms are really large suites and all have fridge and microwave and fast wireless Internet. The staff is very warm and welcoming. Warm cookies every night. The price was the clincher!
Very Disappointed - posted on 12/20/2005
Booked based upon previous reviews, but it seems like it wasnt the same hotel. Ripped furniture, unclean room. Vacuumed hall at 8:30 at night. Pet Friendly, assured no pets even on our floor and we heard animals! Overall a gross experience. Non-smoking smelled of stale smoke! Not worth the price!
Comfort Suites - posted on 12/14/2005
The rooms are not exactly "suites", but larger than a regular hotel room. Our room was extremely cold when we arrived, and it took until the next morning to warm up. The hallways smelled of smoke and were very noisy. The hotel's location wasn't the most convenient...you have to get on the interstate to get to the Biltmore Estate, Biltmore Village, and downtown Asheville. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were also very clean, but on our next trip to Asheville we will be staying at another hotel.
Business Trip - posted on 12/03/2005
The High Speed Internet was great and the breakfast staff is very nice. Location is unbeatable, nearby the Biltmore Estate. The large room-suites are particularlly nice when traveling in more than 2 people in your party, it really is relaxing having all that room in a suite. I stayed several days and was glad to have a refrigerator, microwave, iron, hair dryer and cofee maker in my suite. The fitness room is both cardio and weights. This will definetely be my return hotel for all Asheville extended-stay business trips.
Surprise Visit - posted on 11/29/2005
The breakfast is excellent. The location is very peaceful and relaxing -- a ton of dining choices in walking distance and the mountain views are pure bliss. Very Big Rooms. # 1 Spot if you have kids. Biltmore tickets were less costly here.
Mountain Getaway - posted on 11/18/2005
The hotel has spacious suites that look relatively new. The have fridge, microwave, internet access and a free breakfast. The hotel is at the mall which is a big plus if you have kids. Alot of neighboring restaurants are convenient., so are the major Asheville highways. The night clerk was sweet enough to bake fresh cookies for my children late at night. It is a quiet location away from traffic and noise. The views were great from the upper floors. I would definetely recommend this facility.
Kids Trip To Mountrains - posted on 11/12/2005
The breakfast was excellent, and the rooms were very spacious. Quiet and many restaurants in walking distance. The service was very friendly. The hotel gets sold out on the weekends so book early. The shuttle van needs some improvement. But the location at the mall is unbeatable if you have kids. The Biltmore Estate is only 5 minutes from the hotel and they sell tickets. Ask for a 5th floor room for excellent views of the mountains. I definetely will return.
Suite Dreams - posted on 11/09/2005
The views were nice here in October -- leaf watcher season. Absolutely convenient to everything including the Biltmore Estate. The rooms are so big and very nicely appointed. The kids enjoyed the mall next door and we liked they could get there without crossing the street. The fresh cookies were a pleasant surprise along with the free internet service. Would definetely return as it is the most relaxing hotel and most conveneint to all major interstates..

The hotel is at a super location the mall is next door and there is som much to do without getting in a car. The rooms are very spacious and very clean. Right at the Blue Ridge Parkway entrance. The hotel does evening cookies and accepts pets. Everything was super about our stay. We will return for a ski trip in January.
Summer Vacation - posted on 10/26/2005
This hotel is very good for families. The rooms have fridge, microwave, free internet, and are very spacious. The mall provides hours of entertainment for the entire family, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. It is also near the Biltmore Estate and Winery. The hotel sell ticketes to the Estate. Overall we were very pleased and will return next year.

The hotel is at the Biltmore Mall which was terrific for the kids and passing time. Alot of free outdoor activities are nearby too. There are tons of restaurants within walking distance. We also avoided the lines at the Biltmore Estate by getting the tickets at the hotel. The suites are very big which was a refreshing change from a standard hotel. The brekafast had hot waffles and the free wireless internet was good to have. The hotel could use some better signs on the highway however.
Great Stay - posted on 10/12/2005
Right when you walk in your swept away by the ambience and cleanliness. Breakfast was great especially the fresh made waffles. Staff was courteous and helpful. Hotel is centrally located to all our visiting needs.

My experience... - posted on 06/18/2005
The service from the staff was generally pretty good and the continental breakfast is OK. But the rooms are not exactly suites. Consider them standard hotel rooms with a half partition. Also, the shuttle van is in dire need of replacement.
