Customer Reviews for Best Western of Asheville Biltmore East

Good overall experience - posted on 05/31/2007

My husband and I needed an affordable out of town, overnight place to stay and it turned out to be a good find! The beds were not that great, but hopefully we'll get to bring out kids back another time and give it another try!

Good Value - posted on 05/28/2007

The cheapest, nicest, cleanest motel of the six motels we stayed in on a recent trip. Recently refurbished, great continental breakfast

Great location in Asheville - posted on 05/19/2007

This is a small, very clean, no frills motel that is in an excellant location in Asheville. The staff was super nice and very helpful with any questions, directions, etc...The pool looks great too but had not opened yet. The lobby/breakfast area had a 100% sanatation score. We would stay again...

Not for foot travellers - posted on 05/16/2007

I agree with other members who say that the breakfast area is too small. There are only 5 small tables and on several occasions guests had to wait for someone to finish their breakfast before they could take a seat. The hotel is also on a busy road and certainly not within walking distance to any of the local shops. I had not rented a car initially and I felt confined to the hotel the first few days until i was able to rent a car. So, if you are not driving, don't even consider this hotel... there are many more. The service overall was good.

Great Experience! - posted on 12/26/2006

We travel extensively, often utilizing 1& 2 star rated locations for our accomodations. This was by far the best overall quality Best Western I have ever been in. Everything was first rate from the check in, through the large well furnished & comfortable rooms, the breakfast (they could use a bit more room there) and the departure. It was obvious that the owner truely cares about quality.

Nice Room. Bad location if going to biltmore - posted on 08/21/2006

The hotel room was wonderful and a great price. I would stay there again if my visit was to downtown Asheville. However, it is not a good location if you are planning on going to the Biltmore house. You have to take multiple exits and it is kinda confusing.

Would not stay there again - posted on 07/16/2006

The room was not clean when we got there (found beer bottle caps on the floor and in one of the beds; bathroom smelled very bad). Thin walls allowed us to hear crying child for 2-3 hours during the night. Breakfast selection was good, but dining area could only hold about 75% of the people who were there to eat at any one time. "How was your stay?" was not asked when checking out. Price is low, but still over-priced.

Great stay ! - posted on 07/10/2006

X and X were so very helpful! They saved us and 3 other couples from another motel down the road that had bed bugs! We were in town for a baseball tournament and highly recommend this motel!

VERY PLEASED - posted on 06/06/2006

We were very pleased with our accomodations. Only took advantage of the breakfast one morning, but was impressed with the selection. A friend is interested in a visit to Asheville and I highly recommended this hotel to her. We both have pets and I must say it is one of the nicer hotels that accept pets. A handful of people have made it hard on responsible pet owners to find a nice place to stay. I am thankful to find such a nice place and at a reasonable rate!

PHENOMENAL - posted on 05/26/2006

Actually, phenomenal describe my experience at the Biltmore House ("house"...what an understatement!). The hotel was clean. The rooms recently renovated. Great job. Renovation are still underway for the last section. For the price this is a great place to stay. Convenient to Hwy and shoppping! :-) Staff was most pleasant. We really enjoyed our stay, and will probably stay again.

slept on a rock! - posted on 05/20/2006

I have traveled extensively throughout North American and Europe so I can say with some experience that the beds at this motel are the worst I have ever experienced. Our mountain vacation had to be cut short from the lack of sleep and sore back I suffered in this motel. When I voiced my concern to the management, I was ignored.

Great stay - posted on 03/17/2006

At check-in, I was offered a room away from the highway to avoid noise during my 6 night stay. The continental breakfast is quite a bit more than typical, including numerous cereals, bagels, and the ability to prepare a waffle. I was very pleased with my stay and would recommend this facility to anyone looking for reasonable accomodations.

Breakfast Problems - posted on 11/01/2005

I went for the complimentary breakfast at three separate times. The dining space is extremely small. IT was so crowded, that I couldn't get to the food items. I ended up going down Tunnel Road to a restaurant, where I paid for my breakfast. I saw another couple from the Best Western, who had to go out to get breakfast.

Breakfast Problem - posted on 11/01/2005

The complimentary breakfast area is very small! It was so crowded, that I could not get to the food or find a place to sit. I definitely got the impression that the management was trying to discourage guests from taking advantage of the free breakfast.

OK for the price - posted on 08/18/2005

The room is large with two queen size beds at the cost of smallest bathroom I have ever seen but smells strong with deodorizing spray in a nonsmoking room. The room has some bugs that bites. I haven't seen the bug but many bites in the morning for all of us. The tub drains so slow during the shower the I basically showered in 5 inch deep puddle, which feels aweful. The staffs are very nice and helpful, though. The breakfast is OK for the price and I have seen worse in other place. The price is very attractive considering all of the above.

Good inexpensive place to stay in Asheville - posted on 08/16/2005

The price is great especially with free internet service; our room also had a small fridge and coffee pot. Bathroom was fine as was the bedding. It was a non-smoking room but smelled smoky when we first walked in. The pillows didn't smell smoky, thank goodness. The breakfast was also free but not much selection: coffee, orange juice, cereal, bagels. The parking lot had a large, deep pothole right near the front that we barely missed. The location is good.

lots of room - posted on 07/06/2005

At first we almost didn't stay because it looked old from street. We were amazed at the quality and size of the room. It was huge, new, bathroom had marble walls and room had internet. Cheap price great service.

great value - posted on 03/17/2005

OK, so there could have been more selections for the contiental breakfast, but hey, it's free. Newly renovated rooms are an excellent value with refrigerator and microwave. Staff was courteous and helpful.

A Great Motel for a Great Price - posted on 01/24/2005

We had two queen sized beds, a coffee maker, an iron, a hair dryer, a television, and a free breakfast in the morning. It was a pleasant experience.

poor staff - posted on 10/08/2004

The room was good, but apparently after 5pm the staff does not want to service anyone. We had not reserved a roll-away, but after arriving we call the desk and they seemed to be inconvinenced that we asked for one
