Once you come and visit Asheville youll wonder why it took you so long to get here. This fantastic city and the Blue Ridge Mountains that surround it provide you with many great activities. A walk through the citys center will allow you to see the many art deco buildings that have been carefully preserved. The most visited structure though is the impressive Biltmore Estate. Build by George Vanderbilt back in the late 1800s, this mansion is the largest home in the nation. Could you imagine the amount of cleaning products it would take to do the upkeep on 250 rooms?
Make the trek to the nearby Blue Ridge Parkway and get reintroduced to nature. The scenery is quite simply breathtaking. The view from the top of Grandfather Mountain just cant be beat. Crossing the swinging bridge is a real adrenaline booster. Its no wonder why artists have been inspired with all the natural beauty that surrounds them.
The locals love to celebrate life and invite you to join them during the annual Belle Chere Festival. It is a huge party complete with entertainment and delicious cuisine.
