This was an adequate hotel for the purpose of having a place to stay while traveling for any reason.

The pet-friendly Clarion Inn and Suites Fairgrounds in Syracuse is near the New York State Fair and comprises 143 rooms designed for both the business traveler and families on vacation. Items included with the room rate are a continental breakfast, high-speed wireless Internet access, local telephone calls, a copy of USA Today, in-room coffee and parking. There is one meeting room available for business or social functions that can accommodate 40 guests. The property has easy access to Interstate 690. Area landmarks and attractions include Syracuse University, Carrier Dome stadium and the Oncenter Complex, home of the Nicholas J. Pirro Convention Center, War Memorial Arena and John H. Mulroy Civic Center Theaters. The property is 12 miles from Syracuses Hancock International Airport. Onondaga Lake, noted for its hiking, biking, boating and swimming is three miles from the hotel.

This hotel was the Holiday Inn on Farrell Road before joining Choice Hotels and becoming a Clarion Inn. Those who have stayed here say it is a very acceptable property, with reasonable rates and rooms that are clean and comfortable. The employees here provide good, friendly service and have a good knowledge of the area. Most clients say they will stay at this property on future visits to Syracuse and have no problem recommending the hotel to fellow travelers.
