Overnight Stay - posted on 05/03/2007

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel overnight in April. The front desk staff (actually all the hotel personnel we dealt with) were extremely courteous and helpful. The room itself was very nice, extremely clean, spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We ordered room service and the food was great and tastefully presented. The breakfast buffet was delicious also. We would definitely stay here again.

Out of Touch! - posted on 12/10/2006

Pretentious. Outrageously expensive without validity. Room Service was polite and quick but served cold food and the order was very wrong. Beds are short sheeted and made with flat sheets that are not large enough to stay tucked in when you roll over so you wake up on the mattress. They charge $10.00 for the internet!

No Front End - posted on 11/22/2006

There are 3 ways to enter this hotel. Curiously, no hotel personnel are stationed at any of the entrances. From hotel entry to room entry, we encountered and spoke with no hotel personnel (kiosk check-in). No welcome. No bag assistance. No orientation to the hotel. This property needs a mgmt overhaul.

NOT FOR FAMILIES - posted on 08/18/2006

The rooms are nicely decorated but have ONLY FULL SIZE beds. The rooms are certainly not big enough for a family of 5, Also no rollaways can be placed in rooms with 2 double beds. So really only 4 people can stay in these rooms. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN.

My experience... - posted on 09/20/2005

We had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool and just wished that the pool was a little warmer, as did another couple in there at the time. The chef is great at your restaurant. I had a pork dish which I wish I could get locally, and the wine paired with it was an excellent choice. The bellman asked if he could help and went out to our car to help my husband while I was registering and the girls at the hospitality desk helped us to manuever through the skybridges. They went out of their way. We definitely plan to stay at your hotel again.

Not happy - posted on 06/28/2005

I cannot give a good review to the Rochester Hyatt Hotel based on our recent stay. The staff seemed confused and overwhelmed .Whole families with active kids and ancient grandmothers filled the public areas and hallways. All elevators were jammed and broke down. Our initial room beds were wrong and it took very long to switch rooms. The elevators broke and we had to climb 12 flights of stairs. For our inconvenience they offerred a complimentary "fruit bowl" which consisited of three soft mac apples in a stryrofoam container. On the only positive note the breakfast buffet and service was good.

Very Clean And Apparently Recently Renovated - posted on 04/28/2004

Public areas were very clean with new carpets, unmarked walls and floors. Staff was very friendly. Food was good. Guest rooms were also in very good condition.
