The staff was amiable, and the room was clean. Fine place to stay if you just need a bed and a shower and don't want to drive forever to find your hotel - it's right off the exit ramp.We stayed on a Sunday. The hotel restaurant was closed, and there were only two outside restaurant options in the immediate area - Arby's and Applebee's. We also found a McDonald's and a Denny's the next morning that the desk staff didn't seem to know about the night before.The continental breakfast consisted of some small muffins, three kinds of cereal, bread, juice and coffee. By 8:45 when we arrived in the lobby to eat, though, the only thing left was coffee, juice, some bread crusts and the crumbs at the bottom of the cereal boxes. No milk or fresh fruit.There is a Super Walmart next to the hotel, however, where these items are readily available.

The best western lodge on the green just to the west of corning new York is an updated older motel. It was clean and comfortable and easy to reach from the interstate even though there was extensive construction. The desk staff was courteous but need to have more training in giving directions and perhaps better maps of the area - we got badly lost and did make it back to the motel, asked for more directions and finally got where we were going. The price was right.

Exterior door badly needed weather stripping. Exterior lights so bright we had to close the bathroom door.
