This hotel is one block out of Times Square, with all amenities nearby, so is PERFECT for a couple days in New York. Rooms are tiny, about the size of those on a cruise ship, but clean. Great shower pressure!!Bagels are included!

We knew the room would be small, but it was VERY small. It works, though! Great location - easy walk to Times Square & theatres - we didn't use a subway all week.
Nice hotel - posted on 04/17/2007
We were surprised by how good this small hotel was. We were looking for economincal lodging and were afraid this might not be risky, but it was very clean and friendly. Small room with a nice bathroom. Very pleasant continental breakfast with delicious pastries. Friendly, helpful desk staff.

Hotel is inexpensive place to stay in great location. EXCELLENT front desk employees. They helped my husband and I with riding the subway, discount show tickets, and giving us excellent directions to best shopping. Room VERY small, but clean. If you are planning to see as much of city as possible and only using room to sleep, this is the place to stay! The continental breakfast is a nice bonus. We stayed one extra day due to storm closing airport. Staff again helped us so much!
Exactly As Billed - posted on 03/23/2007
Our stay was exactly as we expected. The reviews were why we booked. The room was tiny-about the size of the bed. It was very clean with great water pressure and fantastic attentive staff-even shoveled walk during storm, Continental breakfast was great. Location perfect. Irish bar across the street. Only 6 stories so we took the stairs from 3 the whole time. Only thing that didn't work was wireless internet-we didn't ask for help cause we had a wireless card-but we had no signal. Bed was good-a must. Dinner and theater were blocks away and hotel was affordable.

This visit was bad. Me and my wife saw 2 rats in the hallway the heat was not working and the staff was not helpful at all. Dont be fooled by price, pay the extra 50 and enjoy yourself.

Loved the location and the desk staff. They were very very nice and helpful. The rooms however are a totally different story. Small is not small these rooms are no larger that a walk-in closet. The maid didn't evev clean one day because our luggage was on the bed for us to get out. She didn't even have room to put it somewhere so she could clean.

The staff at this hotel was so friendly. The accomadations were so neat and clean. The breakfast was fresh and coffee and tea was free all day, great for the winter months. We had a great stay and will go back any time we are in NYC.

The Econo Lodge Times Square was a great place to stay. Although the room was extremely small, it was clean and you couldn't beat the location!!
Great people/Tiny room - posted on 12/20/2006
If you don't mind a tiny room, the price was great, the people were great and the service was great. I rented this for some student friends of mine and they were very happy. An ATM, internet and a simple but tasty breakfast in the small lobby make for a good stay if all you use a room for is sleeping.

Hotel was in a great location in Times Square and the theatre district. Double decker tour bus was right across the street. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

No complaints! - posted on 12/01/2006
You cannot beat the location, just minutes from Times Square and theaters all around. They let us check in early, the parking was discounted and only a few blocks away ($30/day), and there was a free continental breakfast. Don't be shocked: the rooms are VERY small but very clean. Our room was on the 2nd floor but it was quiet despite proximity to the street. We had a problem with the toilet the first day and they fixed it right away. We will come back here next time!

Budget hotel was in a very convenient location. Room was extremely small but definitely adequate and clean. Would stay here again.

The rooms were small but extremely clean. The staff was very helpful. The hotel provided a nice continental breakfast. I would stay there again. Over the last 15 years I have spent many nights in NYC this is the most enjoyable stay that I can remember.

Cleaning of the room didn't happen until 5:00 p.m. By then we were back in room, relaxing. Otherwise, the stay was very pleasent.
Little Secrets - posted on 10/18/2006
The hotel was one block west of Broadway a great location. It was totally remodeled and our room was very small but very clean, no sign of bed bugs, we looked. I'm 6'4'' tall, laying on the bed my hands could touch one wall and my feet the other with my legs bent. The hotel was cheap and clean and that's what I wanted. It exceeded my expectations even with the small small room. It's a small world after all.

Our stay at Econo Lodge was brilliant. Positioned so close to Times Square. The rooms as we read on the comments before booking were small but very neat, clean with all the necessary facilities. Breakfast was basic but adequate. We certainly recommend this Hotel for the budget conscience travellers.

This hotel is the best! It is new (only about 6 months old) and so clean and nice- the staff is friendly, the location is prime. A definite stay!
great hotel, noisy night - posted on 08/29/2006
The service, cleanliness, and location of this hotel couldn't be better for the price. However, many rooms face the street and it could get quite noisy at night. Ear plugs are an option!

My husband & I spent our honeymoon night here. The room was small, but certainly not as small as the room we shared in New Orleans 3 years ago. Perfect location, clean room, & good customer service. I look forward to staying again in the near future.

This hotel is central to EVERYTHING. Rooms were squeaky clean but 2 was a crowd. Shower small but lots of hot water and water pressure. Staff genuinely happy to help and very knowledgeable. We'd go back in a New York minute.

The hotel was in a great location. It was clean, nicely appointed and newly renovated. A great place to be if you don't need glamour. You had to leave the room to change your mind.

The room was small but clean & well organized. I was impressed that they got an iron, ironing board, tub (small but a tub!), make-up mirror, flat screen tv & desk in such a small space. My husband did have to get up from the desk to let me into the bath room but it is NYC! I am going back with my daughter later this summer.
Great price for what you get - posted on 07/29/2006
The hotel was just right for me. Room was extremely small but clean and appropriately laid out. I found the shower space was also too small; luckily I'm a small person. Staff was great;always was helpful when needed. Centrally located to get around easily. Will definitely go back thee as long as prices stay as is!
Hidden Gem in the Theatre District - posted on 07/21/2006
Needed a cheap spot for a few nights in NYC. Couldn't have been happier. Fantastic spot, a block off of Times Square, nice clean rooms (NY sized), comfy beds, and a capable A/C unit. Good thing too, it was nearly 100 when I was there. My only complaint is the elevator is real slow. Wouldn't stop me from staying again though.

I had a very nice stay at this hotel. The rooms, while a bit tight, were very well appointed...Flat Panel TV, In Room Safes, (free)High Speed Internet access, and my fav, a VERY well lit bathroom! The bed was really comfortable too, it's just a shame I didn't get to spend more time in it. The hotel is smack dab in the middle of both the theatre district and Times Sq. This hotel is a MUST for those on a budget who still demand quality accommodations. I recommend it highly.

Excellent service! beautifully decorated rooms, bathrooms & lobby. So clean it sparkles! This brand new hotel opened in March 2006 is right in the middle of times square. Rooms have flat screen TVs, safes, complimentary snack and beverage. Complimentary breakfast is so convenient. Great eateries one block away on restaurant row. The staff was exquisite!! All this for the cheapest rates in Times Square!! I'm not staying anywhere else. Forget the old run down larger hotels in the area...this is Times Square's best hidden secret.
