For the price it was right. Room was small (Hey its New York). Room was very clean. Continental breakfast every morning. Free local and long distance phone calls in U.S. and Canada. Free Wi-Fi. 2 Blocks from Times Square, food places all around! Downside, on corner of 47th & 8th, lots of noise from Police & Fire Trucks, but if you turn fan on high in room you'll sleep right through it. I would totally recommend this place.

It was clean and convenient.

The Econo Lodge Times Square is located very close to Times Square and many other popular NYC attractions, as well as near great food and shopping. The hotel is basic, and the rooms are tiny -- as is typical in the city. However the rooms themselves are very clean and comfortable, and the staff members are friendly and helpful. The area where the hotel is located also feels very safe. The rate is also great for the area and when compared to comparable hotels nearby. Definitely a great choice for those planning to visit New York City and wanting to be close to the action in Times Square.
