Hampton Inn New York Seaport / Financial District is located in the nation's financial center. Surrounded by old buildings and monuments, this hotel location is a great find for someone who wishes to be immersed in the heart of New York history. South Street Seaport is not only home to ships and fish, but also great shopping, bars and entertainment. Put on your walking shoes and wander over to Chinatown, or spend some time in world-famous Century 21 department store. If that doesn't suit, there are tours at the New York Stock Exchange, or ferry trips leaving from nearby South Ferry station. This hotel has a pool and fitness center, but no restaurant. The one drawback of this area is that it runs on bankers' hours (not a surprise), so it can be very dead after 6 PM. That's when it pays to hop the subway and start exploring further uptown.

Hampton Inn New York Seaport / Financial District is an affordable Manhattan hotel with high marks for service, cleanliness and convenience. Although more suited to the business traveler than a family, this hotel is equipped to satisfy. Singles and fun-seekers will be frustrated by the Financial District, since it pretty much shuts down after the work day or week is over. However, corporate customers and historic architecture buffs won't be disappointed. Make the most of your time in the city by speaking to staff about fun things to do. This is a hotel that is very suitable for the low-key, high expectations traveler.
