We loved our stay. We were within walking distance of Central Park and very close to the subway. Getting around town was quite easy from our hotel. We enjoyed the lovely breakfast where we met other hotel guests and had a wonderful time. While the room and bathroom were quite small, they were very clean and neat. Our overall stay was more like being in a bed and breakfast than a busy New York hotel. It was lovely.
The staff was outstanding and the room was unbelievably clean.
The bathroom was very small.

We were treated very well by the staff at The Franklin. The location was convenient and the breakfast was first class. While the room and bathroom especially were tiny, my only real complaint was that the air conditioner was quite noisy. Overall we were quite comfortable.
Very comfortable bed including the pillow and bedding. The angora and merino throw was sublime.
The bathroom was so tiny that my shoulders touched the wall on both sides while using the sink.

You could tell from the conversation at the free continental breakfast that everyone staying at the Franklin shared the sense that this place is a gem. The rooms are tiny, but they are very nicely appointed and the staff is exceptionally courteous.
Extraordinarily friendly and helpful staff.
The tiniest room I've ever stayed in!

Accommodations
There are three different rooms to choose from: the Classic, Superior, and Deluxe. The two former have full size beds; the latter with a queen size bed. All feature a plasma TV, writing desk, 300-Count Egyptian cotton linens, down comforters and pillows, CD players, luxury bathrobes, Aveda bath essentials, and walls painted in soothing hues of lilac, green, and baby blue, Wireless Internet, in-room safes, iron & ironing board, and daily newspapers.
Amenities offered
Additional services include 24-hour espresso and cappuccino, European-style breakfast buffet, and a weekday (5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.) complimentary reception including wine, champagne, and Artisanal cheeses. You can also enjoy the New York Sports Club access. To top it all off, the hotel also supports the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

The hotel is set in a great location--close to tons of museums, Central Park and the Lincoln Center, without being in the midst of noisy NYC--and the services and staff are exceptional. Guests are greeted with a complimentary cocktail, and the wine & cheese reception is just another added perk. Accommodations are comfy and cozy too.
