If you’re looking for a place tucked away from the rest but in the heart of the best venture head over to The Franklin Hotel on the Upper East Side. 49 cozy rooms make up the Franklin’s 9-story stature. Although it’s located on a quiet residential street, it’s actually set in the heart of one of Manhattan’s poshest neighborhoods. Located between Lexington & 3rd, it’s within close proximity to the “Museum Mile” (Fifth Avenue from 82nd to 105th streets) where you will find the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim, the Frick and more, as well as the elite boutiques on Madison Ave. It also borders Central Park, which is great in the spring and summer for boat rides, running and bike trails, and a meal at the famed Tavern on the Green restaurant.

The Franklin Hotel Accommodations

There are three different rooms to choose from: the Classic, Superior, and Deluxe. The two former have full size beds; the latter with a queen size bed. All feature a plasma TV, writing desk, 300-Count Egyptian cotton linens, down comforters and pillows, CD players, luxury bathrobes, Aveda bath essentials, and walls painted in soothing hues of lilac, green, and baby blue, Wireless Internet, in-room safes, iron & ironing board, and daily newspapers.

Amenities offered

Additional services include 24-hour espresso and cappuccino, European-style breakfast buffet, and a weekday (5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.) complimentary reception including wine, champagne, and Artisanal cheeses. You can also enjoy the New York Sports Club access. To top it all off, the hotel also supports the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
