City Club Hotel is right in the heart of Times Square near Sixth Avenue. Once the site of an old-time political salon, this hotel is the size of a boutique establishment with a definite old school charm. The location is suitable for just about anyone who's looking to experience everything that New York City has to offer. Nearby is Bryant Park, New York Public Library and Fifth Avenue shopping. A bit of a further trip yields Central Park and Museum Mile. Those that favor clubs and night spots will find satisfaction close by or downtown. There are plenty of subway lines in this part of town, or walk to either Grand Central Station or Penn Station. For on-site eating, visit DB Bistro Moderne, or talk a short walk to the myriad restaurants around the Times Square area.

City Club Hotel got high marks from visitors for excellent service and beautiful decor. What they didn't like was the lack of a view. In fact, some people said that the place was downright dark. Many would stay again, however. Another peeve was the size of the rooms, which tends on the small side. However, a stay in the Times Square environs won't leave much time for laying in bed. City Club Hotel has 65 rooms for guest use. The decorations are calming yet stately, with Frette bed linens and beautiful appointments throughout. There are also three Grand Duplex rooms with private terraces.

Each room at the City Club Hotel has high-class amenities to suit guests' needs. Included are designer Italian linens, CH Bigelow toiletries, color television with premium cable, complimentary wireless high-speed Internet service, minibar stocked with Dean & Deluca gourmet treats and DVD/CD player with library available. Rooms each have their own special decor with old records and art deco paintings on the walls. Furnishings are done in chocolate marble, stone and deep mahogany wood.
