Customer Reviews for Comfort Inn New York

A safe place to sleep - posted on 03/14/2007

We found the room to be too hot with the steam heat provided and had to get used to the clanging of steam pipes in the winter. The room was fairly clean and the breakfast was average. The bathroom is in need of a major overhaul, but it was clean. Adjusting the water temperature was a bit of a game that I had trouble mastering. The rooms are small with a full size bed and a twin bed. Mandatory dollar plus per day for the room safe whether it is used or not. Because of price, location, and safety in the heart of NYC, I would consider going back again.

We had no problem with the place we booked for the price. No bad experiences. Room was small but we only slept in it and were out most of the day. Very helpful staff.

nice stay - posted on 09/23/2006

The rooms were small and there was only one elevator but the room was VERY clean. I am a picky traveler and the room was much cleaner than I expected. The walk was a little futher than expected but all was nice. The staff was awesome, very friendly. The view was spectacular! I'd stay again.

About the Comfort Inn - posted on 04/04/2006

Our experience was not very good. The beds weren't even double beds, they were more like toddler beds. The worst part was the smell of the room, something smelled dead or moldy. I don' t think I would ever return there

Good price - posted on 08/18/2005

Good price compared to others in the area, but with only the basics and rather small rooms.

Utter Disgust - posted on 07/06/2005

There are always a ton of people in the lobby or standing outside the doors, keep in mind this is a VERY small lobby. The room was small, the bed was flimsy, everything smelled like mold and the locks on the doors didn't work.

Good Value - Eager to Please - posted on 05/31/2005

While the room was clean, the carpet smelled. The first day I left my room at 9am, returned at 3pm and the room had not been made up. They immediately dispatched 2 housekeepers to make it right and sprayed the carpet with Frabreeze which helped a little. The location is off the beaten path, but I never felt it to be unsafe. The policy is to correct problems or stay free and they do a good job on this point. The a/c unit is very noisy as is the bathroom fan which is on when the light is - a minor negative point made up for by the low price.
