Roomed smelled of cigarettes, even though it was a non-smoking room. Asked for another room, denied.

The room was so small, you could barely walk in it w/o bumping into something and the room was in the basement-which was dark and musty. The room was dirty with hair on the bed. The staff was helpful and location was good but wouldn't recommend

A definate culture shock! I had the best of three worlds. The village-little italy-and china town all within walking distance, Thats what i loved about it ! And the hospitality was great.

Decent location on Houston (pronounced "how-ston" - only in NY) and 2nd Ave near Little Italy, Chinatown and Soho. Two blocks from the F-V lines. Lo-Side restaurant 2 blocks east has great breakfast. Rooms clean and of standard size (for NY, i.e. small) and staff very pleasant. Reservation area very compact and Bell Check is manager's office, so be prepared to stack your bags if you need to stow them for a while.

The hotel is fine. It's clean and fairly new. The staff is friendly and reliable. Rooms are small, but tolerable. The bathroom is a decent size. There's a lot to do in the area and it's close to the Village and Soho. Well recommended.
