no A/C in lobby Located next to horse stables and train tracks and 24 hour car repair Tub drain not repaired in 5 days vending machine out of order lobby ladies' room out of order small rooms no amenities in bathroom calling room to room not working

Except for me being told numerous times when I arrived that they didn't have a room for me even after I reserved it, after 15 minutes or so, one magically apeared. Once I was in the room, things went much better. The rooms are small (aren't they all in NY?) but functionable. Any calls to the front desk for pillows or supplies was answered very fast. Good responsive employees and they smile. The breakfast was ok but it was included with the room so i can't complain. The location isn't bad if you don't mind a little walking. For the price, it was an excellent deal.

I went to NY for New Years and stayed at thus hotel. It was clean, and only 5 blocks from Times Square. The area around the hotel is a little shady and some of the staff were a little surly, but the rooms were very clean and most of the staff were extremely nice and helpful.

While hotel is not in the heart of theater district, close enough to Broadway and Times Square to be a good choice for visiting these attractions.. Very clean hotel, staff helpful and polite. A/C worked perfectly in record heat. Only liability-- location is an "aesthetically challenged" area (west river, around 10th Ave and 37th) Once we got past the sense of remoteness, we realized the lower price got us a room as nice or nicer than hotels only slightly more centrally located. Free continenal breakfast a welcome bonus.
