Amazing Hotel - posted on 10/23/2005
I stay at many deluxe hotels all over the world and this is my favorite, It combines great service with style, fun with class. The rooms have everything you could possibly need and the beding is to die for. Norma's has by far the best breakfast in the world (go hungry!) and the burger joint is addictive and cheap. Don't miss the gym, better than the one I'm a member of in LA! Terrific value.
WOW The Best - posted on 08/10/2005
I have stayed in many NYC hotels over the years but this is clearly the best. The staff was smiling and helpful from the second I arrived till the moment I left. The rooms are stylish, yet completely functional. Norma's & the burger place were amazing. The gym was not like I have seen in any hotel, and though I did not swim, the pool looked great. With all of the above and a superb location I know where I will be staying from now on!

Beds were uncomfortable, rooms were very, very noisy, the air conditioning was antiquated and unreliable, the staff was snobby
Contemporary and Luxurious - posted on 03/18/2007
We stayed 2 nights at the beautiful Parker Meridien. It is very contemporary/modern. The rooms are the nicest I have visited in the city. They were clean and the beds were great. The Spa/Gym was apparently fantastic according to our friend traveling with us. The restaurants were great including the small Burger joint hidden in the lobby. Location was just perfect!

One night stay- rooms very clean, plenty of restaurants and services on-site, able to have a late night meal at 2 am. Concierge helpful, laundry service excellent and fast, Nobu 57 within walking distance. My only complaint would be that the room did not include use of the health club. (10.00 charge)

Not what I expected - posted on 02/13/2006
The service was good and the atmosphere was good in the lobby. The rooms were a let down with the size and the cheap materials and componants. The food was really bad. I could not eat the room service dinner we ordered. My kids felt the same way. We enjoyed the pool but it was in need of an over haul! The rooms were clean and the bed was good! If you are looking for quality, stay away. If you are not picky, It will do.

Myself, my wife and 3 year old daughter had planned on staying at another hotel close by, but after about 3-hours we decided we needed to get out of there and showed up here basically looking like bums. They found us a room (a jr suite) right away and the rest was history. Total class. And my daughter still talks about, she will always remember the elevator rides.

we had a great stay at le parker. it was a neat place, extremely well located. close to times square, central park, 5th ave., etc. doormen were quick to help get a cab. front desk very friendly. maid service quick and effective. the tv was a treat for my son, and the pool was neat. burger joint was fun. got comped up to a jr suite and felt at home all week. room service was on the spot as well as engineer to fix our nintendo. couldnt work the thermostat, but that was as much my fault as anything. location, location, location!

We ran into Harry Conick Jr.!! The Hotel staff is great!! Attended to our every need. Location is great, right next to Carnegie Hall and Shelley's (excellent restaurant). Very close to Central Park, great view of the park.
PRICE VS. FUN - posted on 08/28/2005
If you want nice views and funcky vibes (modern rooms and Cartoons in the elevator) this is it. We celebratrated our wedding anniversary here (and got an upgrade to a Jr. Suite). The pool is in the Ptn. House and the spa is in the Bsmt. (whats with the that?). We paid a bit, but enjoyeed ourselves. I know NYC is expensive and the hotel rooms are always smaller than expected; So if you can bite that (small) bullet, the rest of the stay comes as a treat.Theater, food, sight seeing all within walking distance. P.S. the online photos do not give this place justice.

excellent room (spacious), modern, all major electronics (DVD, VCR, large TV, wireless phone, etc), excellent overall
Disappointed! - posted on 07/16/2005
Paid upcharge for King Room with view of Central Park; view good, but room very small (not a huge surprise in NYC) but fairly run down. Several items broken/non fucntioning. Bathroom looked like bachelor pad -- mold, toothpaste on shower curtain (along with additional mold), hot/cold water reversed, etc.). Worst: only shower curtain was fixed when requested. All else remained in disrepair during 4 day stay.

My New Home in NYC - posted on 10/04/2004
The room was spectacular, very quiet and clean with a well-done modern decor. There was a large desk overlooking the park, Herman Miller Aeron chair, and FREE high-speed internet access. The bed was perfect, soft yet firm thanks to the featherbed top. Housekeeping was excellent. I didn't use the gym or pool, but I did take a look and the facilities were first-class. The burger joint, although the decor somewhat contrived, delivered an excellent burger. Overall, I found the entire staff to be very professional, even when the lobby was terribly crowded. This is my new home in New York.
