Customer Reviews for Ritz Carlton Battery Park

Peace in the Apple - posted on 11/29/2006

The service was as you would expect...after all...you're at the Ritz. Extremely nice and helpful personel. The city can be a little hectic. While some may feel the distance to shops and restaurants a disadvantage, we liked the feeling of peace we felt at the Battery. Tranquility in Manhattan...not an easy find.

best birthday ever!! - posted on 08/10/2006

We stayed there with our three teenage children, my sister, husband and mother in-law from 7/29 thru 8/1/06. This is a wonderful hotel. Their staff is just the best! They are so friendly and courteous. I've stayed at other diamond/five star rated hotels and I must say the service received from this location is SUPERB! You must go!! The staff really makes your stay very enjoyable and treats you like royalty...One of the BEST in Manhattan!

absolutely wonderful - posted on 04/29/2006

Although the way downtown location may deter you from staying here, do it anyway! I had trouble finding it, but this hotel is wonderful. The decor is elegant and tasteful...the staff is very personal and attentive. I felt special. The room was perfect...down to every detail. The bathroom was huge with a nice shower and the bed was deliciously plush & soft. I know of the hotel's policy to I stayed over Easter weekend and they went all out decorating impeccably. A 50 ft. chocolate egg in the lobby, and tons of free fresh gourmet candy everywhere. It was hot.

Ist Trip to NYC - posted on 10/26/2005

I was always fascinated by NYC, being born upstate in Rochester and moving to CA 54 years ago. We were celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary and wanted a very special experience. We were not dissapointed. We loved the city. Clean, friendly, safe with excellent transportation. Wonderful sights, shows and restaurants. This hotel is marvelous. The staff greeted us warmly on arrival and our room and view were lovely. The brunch was delicious and the service exemplary, especially by Marta. We are returning next February, in large part, because of this hotel.

Simply the Beast - posted on 10/18/2005

We travel often and this the best hotel we've found. Great staff, top notch security, fine dining and to top it off , views like no other. This spot is worth every cent. Most hotels in Manhattan run $300. This costs more but you'll thank yourself if you splurge.

Nice Weekend - posted on 05/02/2005

On our way to India, we stayed over the weekend at this hotel. We took advanage of their weekend rate and considered it a bargain. Since we like to walk, we went up past ground zero about eight blocks to the restraurant area. The area around the hotel along the water is nice walking. The view from the bar of the Statue of Liberty is great. Only down side is the construction going on next door to the hotel.

Puttin on the RITZ - posted on 12/14/2004

We swear by the RITZ. If you ever have the chance, stay on club level. The extra cost is well worth it- 5 full food service--cocktails-anything you need- You have a private club on top floors to drink champagne (you have already paid for it in room price) or have a full lunch- The beds are heaven! If it is a special occassion let them know- you will feel like royalty because all guests are treated that way. Life is too short to not at least do one trip to this hotel- Use your telescope and see Lady Liberty or the stars!
