Wonderful Place to Stay - posted on 05/06/2007
Great location, but a quiet street. Wonderful coffee machine in lobby and great HD TV. Marvelous shower. Definitely would stay here again.

The staff was extremely helpful, the location was fantastic. The breakfast buffet was pricey and worth it. Every thing was fresh and delicious. Great bar atmosphere.

Would recommend to anyone looking for a modern hip hotel that is in a great location. Rooms are small but very well appointed and clean. Bathroom was a good size.
Be prepared to hold money on your CC - posted on 08/23/2006
This hotel is great, swanky, and fun, very modern for young couples. They offered us champagne when we checked in! They have espresso machines too. Only complaint we have is that due to a pre-paid reservation the hotel said they must hold $100 per night of our stay on our credit card (for us this was $300 for 3 nights) - if you're on a tight budget and only have so much vacation money in your account this could suck up a huge portion of it - and they don't release this money until AFTER check-out. So, be prepared before you go!
Satisfied with another room - posted on 08/06/2006
Checked in too late in the day, and received a very small room, which was not very clean. But, on the second day, I received a larger room which was cleaner, and more updated. The staff was very accomodating !!

A great, small, independent, modern, clean, efficient, perfectly located hotel with excellent service and access to a real cappuchino machine and empty elevators. Situated near Central Park, Madison Ave.,Times Square, Museum of Modern Art, the hotel is surrounded by wonderful restaurants and the Indian Bistro "Cafe Spice" where Vincent whippes up exotic Margaritas at happy-hour prices. There is a small liquor store (rare, near Time Square) across the street, and a wonderful grocery store/deli on the corner to satisfy the most sophisticated culinary needs. I will stay here again.

Very small bed so sad - posted on 07/06/2006
I consider that I was there too early; however, I got a key card at 2.45 and I had to call them every half an hour after 12.00 to ask about rooms. The Shoreham has very good location. There is only a step to shopping center such as fifth Ave or Time sq. However, I don?t know why my room doesn?t have refrigerator. In addition, our bed is so small even though I only 170 cm high. In bedroom, there is very small.
Hip Hotel - not for businessmen - posted on 05/29/2006
Really great hotel for pleasure traveller. I was there on a business trip and needed to print a lot of material. Their business center is only one computer in the corrider by the elevators. Either room printers or a full fledged business center would make life easier for a business traveller. Rooms are great.
Friendly, but that's about it - posted on 01/23/2006
Although check-in was 15:00, they were not able to give my room until well past 16:30. They were not also able to give me a smoking room (except they did upgrade me to a suite). There is no refrigerator, mini-bar, or coffee maker in the rooms - only some fancy water bottles. No cable TV either. Hotel and rooms are pokey

Rooms were very attractive but very small even by NYC standards. Staff was helpfull and friendly. Would stay here again.
Disappointment - posted on 04/10/2005
This place has no relation to its web site. I was there for 5 days, one of the two micro sized elevators was broken 4 of those days. (They told ma part had to come from California). Noisy, dirty small hallways. The doormen were nice and the bed was OK.. The bathroom light was missing a cover and I had two bare bulbs. I asked for a foldout luggage tray, but they don't have those. There was a tag on the robe, so I assumed that if I wore it, I bought it. I won't return.
smokey, small, awful - posted on 03/24/2005
Went there for business, my room was dark, smokey and small. Would not recommend. Also, very noisey. When I called for help, nothing happened (relative to the noisey room next door).

This hotel was in a great location and the price was very good. The modern styling of the hotel was cool too. The only detraction was the size of the rooms
nice suprise - posted on 11/21/2004
We were offered a stemmed glass of cold water or champagne as we checked in. The room was clean with modern furnishings and in relatilvely good condition considering we were in the older building. I would not encourage you to stay here if you want old fashioned atmosphere as this is sleek style, trendy right down to the water bottles. There was a small fridge. The morning staff was also informative and friendly. We ate breakfast at the Brooklyn Diner which was also very upscale for a diner. There was a complimentary breakfast but I did not use it.
