The Helmsley Middletowne Hotel is located very close to the United Nations on the east side of midtown Manhattan. This is a classically styled hotel that's more geared to traditionalists. Travelers to midtown are close to the Garment District, Empire State Building and midtown office buildings. With a bit of a commute by taxi or subway, one can wander the streets of Fifth Avenue for some shopping or take a stroll through Times Square. The east side isn't hopping with social life after dark, so a short trip will be necessary for nighttime fun. There's no gym or restaurant on premises, although they do have local delivery available. The trappings are elegant, but there's not much in the way of services.
