Days Inn New York City is located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. This posh, upscale section of town is loaded with shopping, museums, restaurants and things to do. Enjoy the Metropolitan Museum of Arts and Museum of Natural History on Museum Mile across town. The hotel is a short walk from scenic Central Park, which has the famous Central Park Zoo and several musical attractions year-round. For those who wish to amuse themselves nearer to home base, there's a workout room and several eateries nearby. Remember, many of them deliver, so it's almost like getting room service. Close by are trains that run on an express schedule, so downtown is only a short subway trip away.
Does HotelsByCity recommend this hotel?
This hotel is a good bet for travelers who are looking to lay their heads down in a clean place. Being that it's near Columbia University, there are a lot of young people. This can be a huge plus for singles, but not so much people that wish peace and tranquility. This hotel seems to fall on the "very good" or "very bad" spectrum in traveler reviews. The latest opinions, however, favor this hotel for people on the go who aren't really worried about cost. Days Inn New York City Broadway is an okay choice, but keep your hopes realistic. There's no parking on premises, but guests can use any one of several lots nearby with a discounted rate. There are no pets allowed. There is also a business center with office services.
This hotel doesn't offer a huge array of amenities. Each room has free wireless Internet service, a phone with data port and voicemail, an iron and ironing board, and refrigerator upon request. There is also a coffee maker and safe (with a charge). For guest laundry needs, there are valet services for a fee. All doors have secure electric locks for safety. This hotel is aimed at business travelers more than vacationers, so keep that in mind when looking at the amenity list.
