Overall my experience was excellent, except for the parking situation. I have spent virtually my entire life in NYC and am accustomed to ridiculous prices, particularly for parking. But in all my years I have never, ever been as shocked and appalled as I was when I was informed it would cost me $50/night to park my car! I am still stunned!!! Other than that, I thought the hotel was excellent. The free breakfast was outstanding, as was the complimentary cocktail hour. I was very impressed. Very, very impressed.

The rooms were siginificantly nicer than expected.

$50/night for parking is ABSURD - and I am a native NY'er!!!

The Embassy Suites Hotel was great. The staff worked to satisfy all of my requests, including bringing a refrigerator to my hotel room. Even though cabs aren't readily available, the bell hop took it upon himself to find one for me. They also accommodated a late check-out request. The hotel has internet terminals for customers, but most of them were not functioning properly at the time I was there.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. They even brought a refrigerator to my room for me.

Cabs do not frequent the area due to the location.

This hotel is gorgeous, clean, and amazing. Two hours of free drinks at the bar. Free access to the health club. Free breakfast cooked to order in the morning. Superb.

Embassy Suites New York, a member of the Hilton Hotel Group, is a flagship upscale all-suite hotel providing the consistent quality accommodations and service that the Hilton brand is known for. In New York City, it bears the distinction of being the only upscale all-suite hotel located right on the waterfront in Battery Park. For business travelers, it is an easy walk to the New York Stock Exchange, Wall Street and Financial District corporations. For leisure travelers, it is close to the popular South Street Seaport, ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Greenwich Village and a short subway or taxi ride from Broadway, Times Square, Central Park and other must-see, must-do attractions.

For most travelers, the best reason to stay at Embassy Suites is the comfort and privacy offered by well-furnished two-room suites versus a cramped standard hotel room for the same price. At this Embassy Suite location, there are two-room suites in several room categories with one king or two double beds and a sleeper sofa in the separate living room. A limited number of two bedroom suites are also available. All suites are equipped with two televisions, a stocked mini-bar, microwave oven and coffee maker. Doing business on the road is easy with two telephones with data ports, high speed Internet access at combination desk/work table, meeting rooms and a business center. Bathrooms are spacious and stocked with plush terry robes, hair dryers and high quality bath products.

In a city where breakfast can easily cost $20 or more, save travel dollars with the complimentary cooked-to-order daily breakfast. Save more dollars and make new friends at the complimentary nightly managers reception. Who doesn't like free drinks and munchies! In addition to hotel free dining opportunities, on-site restaurants offering a variety of cuisine choices at reasonable prices. Chevys gets great reviews on their fresh Mexican menu with cool margaritas and sizzling fajitas. Applebees Neighborhood Bar & Grill serves up classic American favorites. PacRim specializes in fresh sushi and Lilis Noodles Shop is recognized for unique Chinese creations. You can always work off the calories at the on-site fitness center. There's also an on-site concierge to help with hard-to-get reservations, transportation options and tickets to local attractions/shows.

There seem to be plenty of Embassy Suite fans who consistently cite the spacious suites, free breakfasts and free drinks as the best reason to choose this location. If you want to be in the center of action at Times Square, go elsewhere. But, if you want to escape the chaos and congestion of that area, stay here! True, parking is outrageous, but thats typical for NYC. Ditch the car and avoid the cost and the hassles of a car in the city. You can grab a cab or hop on the subway and be in Times Square or Central Park in minutes. Lastly, suite rates are comparable or better than most area hotel rooms and you can save more money by checking out hotel promotions and special deals for weekend rates and family or girlfriends getaways.
