About the Edison Hotel

This small hotel in the heart of Broadway is one that you will either love or hate. If you are used to lush accommodations, this is definitely not for you. It is a small, older boutique hotel and the rooms are tiny and not up to date. The pipes also tend to bang when water runs through them to heat or cool the rooms. This hotel is beginning to show its age. The service is sporadic. One day it may be exceptional and the next almost non-existent. If you need to be close to the Broadway shows and fantastic dining though, you may want to consider it. For the price you can not beat the location. You are literally within steps of Broadway shows and fine dining. Most of the other hotels in this area are much higher priced. So if you plan on spending most of your days and nights exploring Manhattan you may not mind leaving behind a few of the luxuries you find in most hotel chains and boutique hotels.

The reviews are mixed on this boutique hotel located in the heart of the theater district. On the one hand you are steps away from Broadway theater and amazing food. The The Rockefeller Center Complex and financial district is also only a few short blocks away. On the other hand, the rooms are older and somewhat cramped.
The service, apparently, ranges from wonderful to horrible depending on the day and time of year.
So staying here really depends on what is important to you. The location cannot be beat, especially for this price but you have to agree to give up some basic comforts that you may have grown used to at other hotels. Read our customer reviews?

Edison Hotel Accommodations

Small rooms are available. Some will allow two people and others four people. The bathrooms are very tiny, as well. The room amenities include a 120 AC, AM/FM Alarm Clock, Color TV with cable, private bathroom with bathtub and shower, Temperature Control, Air Conditioning and Telephone.

The amenities include broadband access,business center, fitness center,safety deposit boxes at the front desk, valet parking, restaurant, cafe, lounge and gift shop.
You can walk right out of the hotel into the heart of Broadway. Plus, the Rockefeller Center Complex, major financial, insurance, broadcast and entertainment organizations are within just a few blocks.

Airport Transportation:
Coming from the New York Airports you might either take the Gray Line or the Carey, shuttle buses, they stop right out side the Airport Terminals every 15 to 20 minutes, and will drop you off across the street from the hotel, at the corner of 46 street and Broadway.
