Good choice - posted on 11/11/2006
Anyone who has been to a typical NY hotel will like this one - rooms aren't huge, but big enough, same with bathroom, good location between 5th and 6th Ave. Very typical NY hotel - older but kept up.
Perfect for Short Visit - posted on 06/11/2006
Do not let the run down entrance to this hotel bother you. Was travelling in a group of three and we were given a clean, affordable room for 3. Sometimes hard to find a room with 3 beds in most hotel rooms and at an affordable price. To be honest we were not expecting much considering the rate so we were pleasantly surprised with the room we had. Clean, with very helpful staff. This hotel is perfect for anyone who is not planning on spending a great deal of time in the room and want an affordable room for several days.

DO NOT EVER STAY HERE!!! - posted on 11/25/2005
I stayed here for 1 night for business. The hotel was so disgusting that I quickly droppped off my luggage and walked around the city so I did not have to be in the room! When I returned I knew I would not be able to sleep because the bed was AWFUL and the room was unbelievably dirty. I ended up by having to take 2 sleeping pills in order to sleep AND when I went to shower in the morning it was so gross that I left to go to work without showering! STAY AWAY!
Value and Location - posted on 09/13/2005
Don't let the ex-welfare hotel looking lobby with the bullet proof glass scare you. The rooms are large by NYC standards, the hotel clean, close to 3 subway lines, walk to times square and Chinatown. The Saturday antiques are literally outside the door. My spouse stayed there in June 05 with two other guys and love that you can get 3 twins. I highly recommend this hotel for value and location

My experience... - posted on 01/01/2005
Hotel lied about free parking. Then they gave us a validation for $18. a day parking. When we picked up the car, it doubled in price! No one at the gargage or the hotel would help even though I had a paper from the Arlington with the garage rates. The garage said no business with Arlington! Deceitful
8 best days in NY - posted on 10/14/2004
i didn't have high expectations about the hotel cuz i heard the rooms are usually small in ny and the pest problems. I was really relieved that there was not a single bug, the maid did a good job every day, the rooms were a nice size for 2 double beds. The location of the hotel is pretty good cuz it's close to everything. I really didn't spend much time at the hotel, we were out all day. This is a much cheaper and still very nice hotel. Some rooms even have a view of the Empire State Building. :-) i was lucky to get one.
