Huge Room Suites - posted on 05/16/2007

Considering how so many people write about how small NYC hotel rooms are, it was amazing to find an affordable hotel with HUGE suites, with full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a large living/dining room. The decor is a bit dated but the suite was nevertheless very clean. The staff is quite helpful and personable. It's about a mile walk to the theatres, which we didn't mind. If I ever go back to NYC, I would definitely stay here again.

Great Service - posted on 01/20/2007

From the first phone call, I was greeted with warm, friendly, and truly helpful service. Though I arrived early, they not only prepared a room for me in about 15 minutes, but gave me a free double upgrade. Two excellent restaurants. Clean art-deco public areas. Small lobby but cozy and friendly. Even had free umbrella for an unexpected rain shower. Thank you, Beekman Towers, for making my visit special.

What a blast - posted on 06/02/2006

I stayed at the Beekman for a week to celebrate St Patricks day and had the best time ever. The staff are more than helpful and gave us some great shopping tips. I am going back in three weeks and staying for another week. We even got invited to the Armory on St Patricks days for a few drinks by one of the staff, they made our trip a blast. You must stay here!!!

A pleasant surprise... - posted on 04/01/2006

Though close to the UN, location not the best. But, fantastic service. Arrived early, and was given an upgraded room; spacious and comfortable, though in need of remodeling. Food/Views from the restaurant not to be missed! Plan to stay there again, though I hope its been remodeled when I do...

Great value. Clean, comfortable room, windows that open. Great location. Only problem was elevator noise and plumbing noise (outside the room)

Nice place - posted on 10/31/2005

This was a very nice hotel which I found to be quite roomy. It's a bit distant from convenient subway access, and two of the light fixtures in my room had seen better days, but generally the experience was quite good. The bed was comfortable, it was quiet, spacious and secure. The staff were very helpful.

First and Many times to come - posted on 07/12/2005

This was a weekend get away for my fiancee and I . We have never been to NY and so i was judging hotels based upon ratings. Therefor i am writing to help someone else. The room had a nice small kitchen and nice bedroom area. With bed and tv. The bathroom was also sufficient for vacation! I would highly reccomend and i would also return because it is in a calmer area of NY away from loud city noise.

Good place to stay - posted on 04/04/2005

The Beekman is next door to the UN at 48th and 1st Ave. The neighborhood is comfortable with a lot of reasonably priced restaurants nearby on 2nd Ave. Full service grocery store there too. Smaller stores right across the street on 1st. Friendly, helpful staff. Our room was a fairly spacious 2 room suite. The only down side was that the bed was lousy.

Excellent value - posted on 03/25/2005

My 1st time in new york. i eventually decided upon the beekman. The room i had was huge going by new york standards. It had a seperate kitchen & living area as well as the bedroom & on-suite bathroom. room was in good condition & really comfortable. New york itself is awesome & i will be definately going back for more!!!. The beekman will be my 1st choice hotel on a return visit.
