This was out first trip to NYC, this hotel was everything I envisioned and more. It was very versatile because it had everything needed for a business traveler and yet it would still meet the needs of a small family. We definitely would stay here again.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The room and view were spectacular. Unfortunately my stay was very brief and I didn't get to check out any of the amenities including the spa and fitness room. The staff was very friendly. This is somewhere I would like to stay again.

No landscaping in the restaurant courtyard.

Nice location in Murry Hill section of NYC. Friendly staff when out of their way to prepare a room for early check-in. Room was spacious and included a full kitchen. Everything was clean, and neat as a pin.

They went out of their way to get a room ready for us when we were early for check-in.

The Affinia philosophy in New York and Chicago has been to create lifestyle hotels out of existing run-of-the-mill properties. To that end, The Affinia Dumont in mid-town Manhattan is a Fitness Suite Hotel designed to cater to guests comfort and enhance their physical fitness, which in turn, management believes, increases productivity. No health-conscious need goes unmet at the Affinia Dumont with a full-service spa on the ground floor, a spacious fitness center, in-room spa treatments, in-room fit kits for in-room exercise, a wellness library, separate lockers for sweaty workout clothes, a VIP Fitness Suite and even a Fitness Concierge to help guests find the right workout. No wonder several National Basketball Association teams use the Affinia Dumont as their home when playing the Knicks at Madison Square Garden, a short walk away.

The 243 guest rooms in the all-suite hotel include full kitchens, earth tone décor that includes dark wood furniture, work centers with ergonomic chairs, fax machines and cordless dual-line phones, plus internet and Web TV access. Staying fit and healthy when traveling can be a challenge, but not at the Affinia Dumont. The Oasis Day Spa adjacent to the lobby offers a variety of facial, massage and other services. The fitness center and all the other wellness amenities make sure no guest leaves lethargic. But the best item offered by the indulgent staff has to be the Airline Restriction Relief package: complementary 3 oz. or smaller packages of toothpaste, shaving cream, hair spray, nail polish remover, deodorant, contact lens solution, mouthwash, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion for those times when guests arrive but their luggage doesnt, or the TSA rules leave such personal items on the concourse. The Affinia Dumonts midtown location is perfect for easily getting to most New York destinations. The subway is a block west to take guests to Chinatown, Central Park and beyond. The Empire State Building, Grand Central Terminal and Union Square Park are all within easy walking distance.
