Incompetent - posted on 01/19/2007
The staff was completely incompetent and the day manager had no idea what customer service is. Upon check-out they tried to charge me again even though I booked and paid in advance. Although all was fine upon check-in and the agent confirmed the advance payment the manager accused me of lying about it all upon check-out. Furthermore, he refused to call the Radisson support center and even refused to allow me to use a phone to do so myself. As for the hotel, average at best. Without its location it would not be worth it at all.

Hotel was clean and staff was courteous. Card keys had to be reset several times and this is a hassel going back and forth to the desk. The $5/day charge for the safe in the room was not well posted in the room and was a surprise when we checked out. Most hotels do not charge for this feature. Overall fair to good experience
great location - posted on 08/18/2006
The location of this hotel is great. There is a subway stop right outside the doors of this hotel and you are 2 blocks from Macy's and other shopping. The room is small, but so are all the other rooms in Manhattan. I would definately stay here again
Great Hotel for a budget - posted on 07/02/2006
We could not have asked for much more in a hotel! The room was clean and serviced daily, and the staff was very friendly! One night the ac broke, and by the time we got back from going out, it was already fixed. The staff is great, and was extremely helpful giving hints on where to go or getting us a cab. There were four girls in the room, and the room did not feel small at all even with all of our luggage out and around. This hotel was much more than I expected, and I left extremely pleased. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the area!
Good deal in NYC - posted on 01/31/2006
Pleasantly suprised for the price (we paid 139 plus tax for a room with two twin beds).Room was clean and modern, as was the bath. Doorman hotel, security checking room keys and close parking were all a plus. I would definately recommend this hotel.

you get a clean room and shower facilities - no extras. price is almost reasonable for what you get. Customer service could be better. AC was quite noisy and we couldn't get it to turn off without have the front desk turn it off at the central unit
The Martinique Stay - posted on 08/01/2005
My family and I stayed on a nice size room with an oversized bathroom (for New York). The view was to a brick wall but the location of the hotel is pretty good and withing walkig distance of Time Square and Penn Station. We only spend evenings at the Hotel but it was okay.

For the price, could not have asked for a better location and amenities. Service was good/friendly.

The employees were very nice. The only thing was that the room was very small but comfortable
Great place to stay in NYC! - posted on 05/30/2005
We just spent an anniversary getaway in NYC. Rooms here were priced entirely reasonably for the value: great location, very comfortable, an attractive room (clearly recently renovated, small but that's New York), helpful and responsive staff, and did we mention the incredible location? Easy access to everything the city had to offer. Non-smoking room was an absolute necessity for us, and they came through on that with no trouble. (Not a hint of smoke smell in the room.)
Good, Clean Room - posted on 05/06/2005
Decent sized room (for NYC) was very clean and reasonably comfortable. Good location near Empire State Building and subway station--one stop from Times Square. Friendly and helpful staff. Only negatives--slow elevators (but there enough of them that it wasn't too bad) and lousy view. We'd stay there again.
