The hotel itself was decent (clean and conveniently located) however the room was very small and cramped, the bed was extremely uncomfortable and small, and there was no coffee maker.

Located in a great area and breakfast was very good with the buffet. Nice staff and would recommend to others. Rooms were a little small and seemed "older" with a little musty and humid feel. Not too bad, a 4 star rating seemed appropriate.

The service at this hotel is the finest in the world. I travel frequently and this is my favorite hotel anywhere. The location is perfect. The staff is always wonderful to me and they remember me, even though I only see them about once a year.

This is my favorite hotel. The service is outstanding. I love New York and this is the best hotel in New York. Even better than the Waldorf.

There is nothing bad about this hotel. Everything is perfect.

The 646-room Marriott New York East Side provides luxury accommodation for the upmarket business and leisure traveler. The 35-story, non-smoking hotel is located in Midtown Manhattan close to Central Park, Rockefeller Center, the Broadway theaters and shopping on 5th Avenue. Items included with the room rate are in-room coffee and tea, local telephone calls and a morning newspaper. The hotel has 19 rooms available for business or social functions. The largest, the Fountain Room, can accommodate 400 guests. Area attractions and landmarks include Chinatown, Greenwich Village, the New York Stock Exchange and Little Italy.

Elegant and expensive are two words used by several guests who have stayed at this fine Marriott. The location is great, close to Central Park and the subway, and the rooms have been renovated to a high standard. Many clients were impressed with the new health club and enjoyed the 32-inch plasma televisions which have been placed in all the guest rooms. First-time visitors said they would return to this hotel on their future visits to the big apple and would recommend this property to others.
