Customer Reviews for Gershwin Hotel

Will stay again - posted on 03/28/2006

Hotel has very cool decor. Hotel staff was very nice, but do not rely on concierge service to provide you with much info. The location was great, especially for the price. Check out the hotel website. If you are a young traveler and don't require many amenities, the hotel offers even cheaper rooms but they are more basic.

noisy - posted on 03/27/2006

Still like this hotel OK, but this time when returned got a MUCH smaller room (paid same price) and was on a lower floor so noise was a major issue. Not from club next door, but street noise was so bad could not sleep until it stopped at 7am on Sunday morning. Burned my arm on exposed pipe in bathroom that ran along shower--staff seemed unconcerned.

After reading some very dodgy reviews, i was very impressed with this hotel. the staff were friendly and the lcoation fantastic. the only problem, the lack of hot water.

good choice - posted on 07/17/2005

Our room was plenty large enough, unit was clean and all in working order. Had a/c, cable, and phone. Good security at hotel, staff helpful. Enjoyed funky decor. Our room was on 11th floor so not affected by noise of hostel or club that shares adjoining space. Only complaint was shower was crazy--freezing most the time, then got hot and couldn't get temp even easily. Would stay again.

Nice Hotel - posted on 05/04/2005

I had a pleasant stay. The price was right, the staff was friendly and it is centrally located. I had hot water and an air conditioner in the room.
