I would definitely stay here again. I would not eat at the restaurant (Foley's) again. Olive Garden is steps away and the food and prices are wonderful.
Always love the marble bathrooms. Enjoyed the friendly staff.
Foley's prices - outrageous. Food - Nothing to write home about.

Perfect location - 3 blocks from Times Square, 3 blocks from Central Park. Easy access for subway. Nice, quiet lobby bar. Good security. Concierge gave inaccurate information regarding Broadway show - wasn't interested in being helpful.
Novetel hotel (Not Renaissance) - very multi-cultural.
Reservations were confused - requested (2) beds, got King.

The location of this hotel is amazing. "It is" the intersection of 42nd and Broadway in Times Square and across the street from the Minskoff where The Lion King plays. Regardless of the location of your room in the hotel, you have a view of Times Square. The decor is very art deco and beautiful. The price is well worth it!
Renaissance New York Hotel - Times Square is located right at the crux of the lights and dash of Broadway. Classified a AAA Four Diamond hotel location, this is a large place that has a long history in the middle of the theater district. Surrounded by things to do and places to go, guests can busy themselves with fun pastimes all hours of the night. This location is very close to the Lincoln Tunnel, and several subways come to this section of town. There's a large variety of high-class restaurants and chain establishments in the area, or you can eat at Two Times Square, the in-hotel dining experience. Renovated to update decor and in-room technology, the Renaissance New York Hotel - Times Square won't leave you wishing for something more up-to-date. There's also a complimentary fitness center on site for those who want to keep themselves trim and fit.

Does HotelsByCity recommend this hotel?
This is a great hotel, with a couple of chinks in the armor as far as service in concerned. The beautiful decor and spacious rooms can be overshadowed by help that may not be responsive to problems situations. Good attributes of this hotel include the location, the subway stop that's about 20 feet from the front door and the luxurious nature of the furnishings. This is a really good hotel to stay in if you want to combine business and pleasure. For families, the hotel will furnish a crib, cot or roll-away bed for your youngsters. There's always something fun going on in Times Square, so make it a point to get out and about while in the theater district. Read our customer reviews below
