The hotel is in a good location, practically in the center of everything. The rooms are small but comfortable and clean.
Excellent choice - posted on 01/20/2006
The hotel is most conveniently located. Rooms and shower are clean. Breakfast is very convenient. We have enjoyed our stay very much

No a/c unit in the room, the rooms were not hotel expectations. the hotel was reluctant to solve the a/c issue. our room was stuffy, a noisy wall unit was installed. How ghetto!!! Stay somewhere else, I called to complain to the manager of the hotel, he was VERY RUDE! I have filed a complain with BBB.The hotel does a good job in Advertising it as a hotel, the lobby does look nice, but don't be fooled,it?s a motel.

Rooms are small, but clean. The continental breakfast was o.k., but the toasters should be replaced. I would stay here again.
Economic hotel in good location - posted on 11/29/2006
Good hotel with economic rates, continental breakfast very acceptable, excellent location, close to Times Square, Rockefeller Center and major attractions. Is a good deal stay here!
A Perfect Stay! - posted on 11/01/2006
We Booked the Hotel online, and Arrived from the hustle of the city to the calm of the lobby. We were Welcomed and found clean rooms, great clean baths, free breakfast and a room safe...It was More than we Expected and Nicer than we'd Dreamed! I reccomend this Hotel to any on a budget, who still want a quaility stay. Central to all of Mid-Manhatan, subway and restuarants, Time Square, Broadway, and Tons More! Please check out Rangoules Indian Buffet just up the street! Also Spanky's has Mean BBQ and great Micro Brews...
Great for the budget-minded traveler - posted on 08/30/2006
I enjoyed my stay at the Super 8. It was clean and well run and at the perfect location in New York: equally distant from Times Square, theatre district, Fifth Avenue shopping district and Central Park. Our room was affordably priced and small like even the nicest NYC hotels. On the downside, the carpet and furniture were stained and I had to take a smoking room, so the smell was never quite right. Yet the bathroom was very nice and the beds were comfortable with nice sheets and fluffy pillows. Our toilet stopped up one night and it was like pulling teeth to get someone to come with a plunger, but the service was otherwise polite and professional. This is a great hotel for the budget traveler. No frills, just a good room at a great price.

I stay here every time I am in NYC. Perfect location, close to everything, great outdoor area (with trees!) right across the street, steps from 5th Ave shopping as well as Times Square. Pleasant, clean and quiet.
Good Price, Good Location - posted on 07/10/2006
For the money, this was a good hotel for its location. Room is larger than others. It is close to Park Ave for business and Time Square for travel. No internet access for business, but I used a phone line.
a good choice - posted on 05/27/2006
I wanted a clean, moderately priced ( by NY standards )conveniently located room. I got all that and more. I found the rooms to be clean, the building was quiet, and nothing can beat the location. The continental breakfast with a courtesy newspaper was a nice touch. I also was pleased to find a Burger King 2 doors down on 1 side and a Dress Barn 2 doors down on the other side. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Great price and location - posted on 04/05/2006
This is a great hotel if you are on a budget! Great location. Good rooms. Only complaint is the check in speed. Very, very slow. But, when a mistake was found on our reservation, they upgraded us to a suite. Make sure you bring your confirmation info along!

I have stayed at this hotel twice and plan to stay in June 06. The location is the best and the hotel for the price is excellent. Requests for services have been dealt with quickly and to my satisfaction. Is the room palatial and the ritz? NO. but neither is the price. For NYC this is an excellent choice and I will continue to stay here.

Unable to get a safe and comfortable water temp in the bath sink or shower. Water extremly hot or cold...not able to mix.
Good rates - posted on 12/20/2005
Hotel is close to transit and attractions . Rates good. Rooms need care.....Loose broken glass in picture frames. Wallpaper falling off in places. Hotel did not have wash cloths.
Nice Hotel / Good Location - posted on 11/22/2005
An older hotel with small rooms, but in a very good location within a few blocks of Times Square, Rockefeller Center, and many good restaurants. The rooms were very clean. However, we were on the fifth floor and could hear all of the street noise below. We had to ask for wash cloths and hand towels, and were told that they "ran out". The free continental breakfast every morning was nice. Overall, it was an OK hotel.
Nice place - posted on 08/20/2005
The only Bad thing that happened was that they needed a different AAA card for every room that was booked in order to recieve the AAA discount, even though I was paying for all the romms on one credit card. Other than that, it was all I expected for the price. The single room was OK , the double rooms were a little small but they were clean. The showers were nice and clean also. I would recommend this hotel...the location can't be beat. The staff was also friendly and helpful.
My stay 19-21 Jul 05 - posted on 07/25/2005
Hotel is old, has class, and is in a great location; great! Upon arrival we requested two additional pillows; made the second request in person at the front desk; the third request was submitted after 10:30PM. The staff's reply, "services ended at 10PM." The next morning we made the forth request at the front desk. We never received the additional pillows. It's a shame, a facility with many attributes are maintained by personnel with no integrity. I'll never return.
A great place to sleep in the Big Apple! - posted on 07/10/2005
The location was a super short walk to Time Square and a great subway line. Rooms are small but should be expected in NY unless you have lots of money! Clean and comfortable even with four adults in one room!!
location and price - posted on 06/18/2005
I have stayed here twice, and usually stay here when visiting NYC. You cannot bet the location and the price. The free continental breakfast and the attandant available was very nice. They also have a computer room for the hotel guest, if you want to check your email and browse the internet. You will need your room key to access room. I will be staying here again come this August 2005.
I liked it. - posted on 06/06/2005
I was happy with the hotel because it was right next to everything, and the staff were nice. The rooms were alot smaller then what im used to but thats what u have to expect in NYC. I will definitly use this hotel if i go back again.
Clean and everything worked. - posted on 03/15/2005
Over all it was a great place. Clean! Walls too thin if you have loud neighbors. Construction on room across the hall, not sure if it was necessary to book someone around that room. Happy to see any hotel doing upgrades so don't want to complain about that. Close but not too close to Times Square and a good walk to the Park. I would go there again.
