Previously called the Super 8 Hotel Times Square, the Hotel at Times Square has now converted to a more upscale boutique hotel experience. This hotel is right in the middle of the theater district, and is close to Port Authority Bus Terminal, Penn Station and several subway lines. Tourists can take a short walk to Herald Square and the Macy's flagship store, or can wander a little further to the ritzy Fifth Avenue shops. There's the Upstairs Tapas Bar for drinks specials and light cuisine in-house, along with a business and fitness center. This hotel offers free accommodations for kids under 13 with a paying adult. What's nice is that the prices are still reasonable in keeping with the core Super 8 message of thrift combined with comfort.
