For an overnight stay, this hotel is satisfactory. A complimentary breakfast is more than adequate, and the desk offered to send for take-out for dinner. There is a small exrcise room. Although it is quite near the airport, there is little noise in the room, at least at night.

I chose this hotel because it was close to JFK and didn't have the really bad ratings of other alternatives. I was very happy with my choice. The airport shuttle service worked great. The room was quite, clean and reasonably sized. The staff was helpful and friendly. Service at the front desk was efficient. I appreciated the free PC's with Internet access for guest use. There is easy auto access. The free breakfast was appreciated but not great.

Overall I have no complaints but the parking was a problem . Whenever I parked in front of the hotel there was always a delivery truck blocking me in for at leats 15 min. or more . In the back was difficult to haul your luggage .
Friendly Service at JFK Holiday Inn - posted on 01/01/2007
I had to stay here to pick someone up at JFK. The Shuttle to the airport was great at dropping us off and picking us up. The pool was nice too after a long drive to NYC. The next morning the head waiter at the buffet was very friendly and helpful to us.

This hotel is for people that are travelling via JFK and need to spend a night somewhere close to the airport. For that, it is quite good.

The ladies at the front desk were so nice. However,at night I didn't get a nice welcome when I asked where my room was. She just said take the elevator. When I asked another guy which floor that was he told me that it was the 2nd floor because 2xx is for the second floor.How would I know that?! Anyway thank you for you hospitality.

I was very happy to see the hotel was very satisfactory. The room was all I could hope for, and the atmosphere in the hotel was excellent. I had one problem: upon paying for the room, I was presented a bill at a higher rate than I had booked on the net. After showing my print-out from the net, I was billed for the correct rate.

Fronk desk needs add'l training in customer service, handling large groups and responding to guests' needs. The restaurants were too pricey and the closet local food places were too far to walk.

Great location if you are flying in or out of JFK. Nothing close by to do or to eat. Ate from delivery menus (which was good food), by necessity, not by choice. Great staff and great hourly shuttles to JFK. Rooms were adequate and clean. Elevators aren't very conducive if you have lots of luggage!

Room small but adequate & clean. Free internet & telephone was appreciated. Staff excellent. Continental breakfast with many choices. Shuttle service on time. No restaurant available.

The hotel was pretty close to the airport and has hourly shuttles, but doesn't have much else.
