Really nice breakfast. Free internet and computer for guests. Polite staff. Nice gym. A little hard to find from airport if you do not know the way.
Ok for the price - posted on 02/03/2006
Room not totally clean. Coffee pot dirty and no replacement ever provided.Old soap left in bath. Had to wait until the next day to get a TV remote. Hall carpet old and soiled. But the price was ok. Breakfast not bad for a continental.
Avoid this place like the plague !!! - posted on 11/26/2005
This hotel has one thing going for it ... the price. Other than that, it is far from the city, and getting to Manhattan takes an eternity. The shuttle service takes FOREVER to come to the hotel and the airport. Hotel is in an isolated location, in a seedy neighborhood. I didn't notice any bad stenches, despite being next to the sanitation facilities. They kept changing my room, despite my request weeks in advance for a room with two beds. Rooms were clean and nice, however.

The worst hotel experience - posted on 10/15/2004
Upon 12:00AM arrival, we called for shuttle. After 1/2 hour wait, we called again. The receptionist complained about the driver. He arrived in his own mini van. The small lobby was crowded with customers because the staff was arguing with someone who said she was charged double. Both receptionists were involved in the argument while 3 parties waited. One kept complaining that she should be off. When we finally asked if one of them could help the couple before us she rolled her eyes and was rude. It took an hour to check in. The room was barely acceptable.
convenient location by JFK - posted on 05/24/2007
clean, quiet, convenient location for airport transfer- good breakfast, helpful staff. Not a flash hotel or location, but good shuttle service to JFK airport. Would stay again for a one night airport stay.
Great sleeping night! - posted on 05/14/2007
I had such a good experience staying at your hotel. It did "its work" which was having me for one single night, in order that I could catch an early flight at JFK. Rested so well!
Good for the cost - posted on 03/26/2007
I've stayed at the Best Western on a few occassions. The location is very convenient to JFK, but not much else. There's only a couple of places to order from, but there are stores and restaurants near by. It's a nice place to stay for the cost.

this is a good place to stay if you are flying out of JFK

The front desk service is very bad. Please improve it if you want customer to keep staying in this hotel.
Hotel - posted on 11/01/2006
I stayed at the Best Western JFK for two nights. I found it to be a reasonable priced hotel and the offering was inkeeping with my expectations. There are no eating places close to the hotel, and the choices of ordering was limited. Its perfect for short stay and its close proximity to the JFK was ideal for me. They offer a free shuttle service which was wonderfull.
The worst experience ever - posted on 08/23/2006
I have been traveling for more than 10 years and have never come across more rude and unpolite staff. The guy named David was simply yelling at us when I wanted to find out how I could send out e-mails from the hotel (not possible at all). The rooms looked like from the horror movie. Next time I will pay even 3 times more to be located anywhere else but not in this hotel. I have seen many Best Western hotels, but this one was the exception.
Too Noisy to sleep - posted on 03/25/2006
The staff in the lobby was so noisy we could not sleep all night. We went out twice to ask them to be quiet. They were rude and hostile. The next morning I asked for my money back, but was refused. I wrote to Choice Hotels to complain and received a letter back from the Desk manager that basically said "Too Bad". I will never use a Comfort Inn again.
good hotel; great price - posted on 02/21/2006
this is a great hotel for the money. If you want to save money while staying in NY I would highly recommend it. They have a free shuttle which takes you to and from the airport. There is no restaurant but the staff provided us with menus that deliver to the hotel. Overall very satisfied
great hotel; difficult location - posted on 02/07/2006
this is a great hotel for its value, service and close proximatiy to JFK. Even though there is not much to do around the hotel the staff provides you with plenty of menu selections that deliver to your room. Also there is a delicious free breakfast every morning. Manhattan is only 1 hour away and by staying here you avoid those crazy manhattan prices
Basic hotel - posted on 08/17/2005
This hotel was extremely basic and didn't seem to be as close to the airport as was originally suggested. There is no dining hall but there are meals available for breakfast. There is no close transport to the city which means that you have to take the courtesy bus to the air train which costs $10 return. I did find that this service was prompt and effective.I was glad that I was only staying for a night as the walls were thin (I could hear a gentleman next door snoring), but I think for the available facilites it should be cheaper.
Finally found it! - posted on 07/25/2005
It took us an hour to get to the hotel from JFK car rental place. It was dark and it was late - please work on those driving directions!! Room was small, sheets too small but the staff was helpful and nice.
Good for a stopover - posted on 06/16/2005
The hotel has acceptable standards with a pooled airport transfer service that is shared with several other establishments. I found the hotel bearing minimal acceptable standards. What can one expect for the price? Will I come back again if I have to do another stop over? Yes.
No room at the inn - posted on 05/06/2005
We arrived after taking a taxi since the shuttle never came at 1 AM. There were others in the lobby waiting - 8 groups had been double booked. At 3 AM they finally found us a room at another hotel for twice what we paid - no refund came to us.
Hotel useful and clean - posted on 05/06/2005
The hotel was clean, with the right amenities and service for this type of hotel. Only good for one night really - best go into NY for longer. Hotel booked me a cab to the airport but it was private hire with no meter and he overcharged me - USD20 to get to the airport !
An overnighter only - posted on 11/19/2004
It's possible to get to Manhatten for less than $10 with shuttle to JFK, AirTrain to Jamaica Station, and train or subway onwards. But this place is best as an overnighter. We looked at two rooms before finding an acceptable one.

ecclectic crowd, crammed into the small lobby or the small lounge for a fairly nice expanded continental breakfast.sheets thin and no mattress pad, room smelled of disinfectant.internet broken.excercize room not accessible from room card.hallways are about 100degrees.staff was very pleasant which helped.
