Chain: Comfort Inns

Basic hotels aren't always a bargain, particularly when they're close to main legs of transportation. The Comfort Inn near JFK Airport is such a hotel, and while it has certain amenities - like a free airport shuttle and on-site parking - those amenities might be very limited. Just a few miles from the airport and also near the Aqueduct racetrack, Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, and Jones Beach State Park and Rockaway Beach, guests here aren't far from several city attractions. Staying here also puts you in close proximity to major shopping venues, and business and education centers. Business travelers will have access to services such as copy and facsimile, and complimentary wireless high-speed internet access. Travelers will have a free continental breakfast available to send them on their way, and a free airport shuttle to take them to their flights.
Does HotelsByCity recommend this hotel?
Guests had terrible things to say about this hotel, and a few people felt it would have been better to just sleep at the airport. In fact, one guest said it would have been cleaner and safer. That says a lot, especially packaged along with this price tag. These aren't budget accommodation rates, but the hotel delivers poor housekeeping, limited amenities, and questionable customer service. While this hotel is close to the Marta station, where a few changes can get you straight to the city, the staff sometimes sent guests on wild goose chases through town. Some guests claim to have fought bogus, and expensive, charges on their bills with no word back from management or any staff from the hotel. Several people reported noise from the street, seedy looking people roaming the halls and staff that used curse words and talked about violence while talking on cell phones (instead of doing their jobs). Although, several people also mentioned the good breakfast, the shuttle to the airport (though, if it's busy season, be safe and catch a cab) large bathrooms and nice televisions. All the same, it doesn't seem like the safest, the nicest or the most affordable option for people traveling by plane.
