The worst - posted on 05/05/2007

Stayed because it was close to LGA. The room was dirty. I wouldnt even sit on the chair. Heat didnt work and the front desk doesnt answer the phone after 8pm. I also had to pay for parking as a guest.

IT'S BETTER THAN OTHERS - posted on 05/01/2007

THIS HOTEL FOR THE LOCATION AND THE PRICE IS GOOD. YOU HAVE TO MAKE YOUR OWN FUN AND IT WON'T BE AT THE HOTEL.USE PUBLIC TRANS Q33 RIGHT OUTSIDE THE DOOR THAT OPENS THE WINDOW TO NY

You Get What You Pay For! - posted on 04/29/2007

The room rate was right, but the hotel staff disappointed me with their deception. I relied upon the hotel staff for transport referral, and they only utilize a private limo service. Evidently, there is some personal connection between the limo service and the hotel. The cleaning staff appeared to work hard to keep the hotel neat, but the condition of the carpet, which appears to have had major water damage leaves a lot to be desired. Because of the physical condition of the hotel and unprofessional of the front desk staff, I would be hard pressed to stay in this hotel.

decent hotel for a decent price - posted on 03/14/2007

everything was clean and decent. my room was not small at all (215), bedding was not yellowish and stained, it was ecru. i've only found it kind of awkward to break fast in the lobby. they have made up for it with nice, fresh croissants. service very nice and helpful. tip; call the hotel after you land , and request a shuttle. it will wait for you, once you get outside.

Perfectly decent hotel... - posted on 01/05/2007

...if you don't intend to stay in the room much. The room was only slightly bigger than the queen sized bed in it. It was reasonably clean, but the hotel is not by any subway stations, so you'll have to take the Q33 (bus) to get to the 7 line if you're headed to Manhattan.

Free internet! - posted on 09/13/2006

I liked the hotel overall dispite my ratings. I didnt see too much wrong with it overall. They overbooked the king size rooms (they get flat screen TVs mounted on the wall) so they took $100 off my total bill and put me in a room with 2 beds, which I didnt mind. The area is safe and VERY close to La Guardia. Shea Stadium and the USTA centers are close too. I went to see the US Open and the bus ride was less than 20 mins. To get to Manhattan, is about 40 mins by train and bus but overall very short. I liked the hotel and would recommend it.

Bad rooms - posted on 08/11/2006

Room was very small, bedding old and shoddy. No hot water at all the morning I was there. Carpet in hallways and room was dirty/stainded. Everything seemed very rundown.

worth the $$$ --- but call your own cab !! - posted on 07/22/2006

Well worth the $$ but dont take their grand tranportation to the city. Call a regular taxi. Front desk won't call a regular cab for you, they have a deal with the expensive folks. Pick up the phone yourself you'll save twenty bucks on the way in.

A good hotel for the busy traveler. It could use some upgrades, but it's worth the cost.

Trip to NYC - posted on 06/07/2006

The worse hotel we stayed in. I rented 3 rooms and had to switch twice because of the smell and the filthy carpet. Also the bedding was in very poor condition. The sheets and bed skirt were torn. The bathrooms had a urine smell.I don't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Ok but nothing special - posted on 05/28/2006

This hotel was an adequate place to stay for one night while waiting for a flight. The rooms were clean, but pretty worn. Airport shuttle ran every 30 minutes, 24 hours a day, and was a quick ride to get to the airport. Staff were helpful in providing menus for ordering take-out. This was not a good nights sleep because the planes noise was very audible from the room. Overall, if we had to stay for more than one night, I would rather spend the extra cash for a newer, more comfy room and a longer ride to the airport.

a good deal - posted on 04/27/2006

I was looking for a hotel close to Laguardia airport in New York . I actually saved money, because to park my car at the airport would have cost me $30.00 a day, and the hotel let me leave my car there for $8.00 the first night and $15.00 the next two nights. They also offerred a free shuttle ride to and from the airport. I am pleased and would do it again

Clarion LaGuardia Airport - posted on 04/04/2006

Taking a taxi is cheaper than the hotel van into Manhattan. Shuttle to airport on the 1/2 hour got us there in time to take the M60 bus into University we were visiting. Roomy for mother/daughter. Good Neutrogena toiletries provided. Free breakfast from 6 a.m.- fresh fruit, bread, bagels, beverages, juices, pastries. Good price with hotel and air fare combo.

dirty, dingy, and moldy - posted on 12/07/2005

Carpet filth, shower moldy, bathroom big enough for less than 1 person. Bathroom light took 5 minutes to come on. Scary people loitering around outside all night. Clarion should take their name off this one.

Better in a Box - posted on 11/18/2005

The rooms are dark and small and the windows are so cheap it was like sleeping on the street. Understaffed, dark, threads for sheets and not worth the price. Also, don't miss the 48 hour cancel policy. It's the only way they make money since I expect most people do what I did, move to another hotel.

great staffs, rooms not nice for the price - posted on 11/16/2005

I was disappointed when I saw my room for the price I paid, I don't really care for the decorations in my room. There was a big picture of a man above my headboard that was starring at me, it was scary! I've stayed in better hotels in Manhattan. The staffs were great though!

Nothing good - posted on 10/14/2005

This hotel was very dirty and not worth an economy rate. Don't believe AAA's 3 star rating - it's wrong. Room was dirty, hallway dirty, and staff RUDE. I'm a frequent traveler and would never stay here again - even if it were free.

WARNING - posted on 04/28/2005

This hotel is located across from La Guardia airport. That is the only good thing about it. There is a pay parkinglot next to the Hotel. The hallways are built on angles. The room had a twin bed with about a foot on each side of the bed, no accessable outlets for plugging in a phone or computer, If you turn off the light switch it turned off the TV and caused the system to reboot, which took 15 min.(missed the best part of a show). If you dont need to be comfortable this is the place for you. I am a frequent traveler and would never stay here again. NO COMFORT

Hotel needs a lot of improvement. Rooms not cleanest, breakfast contains very little. Worst part was trying to get shuttle to airport. Some guest got stranded and had to wait for shuttle to make trip and return. Driver provided no assistance, however he wanted tip.Best aprt if low price for New York area. Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed.
