Crowne Plaza Hotel New York/LaGuardia Airport in East Elmhurst New York

Acceptable hotel for Shea traveller - posted on 05/17/2007

Easy to get to from LaGuardia. Take the Q28 bus directly to Shea for $2 each way (coins or metrocard only). Didn't feel threatened in the neighborhood, but the building could use some maintainence work and the bar prices are quite high ($5 for a beer).

We use normally the Crowne plaza chain but was really strange in this hotel 4**** do not have the minibar,all rooms have a communivcating door with other room(many noises)The food and the people are really good but the restaurant and the kichen are not clean!!!!!

The customer service at the hotel was wonderful. We checked in late at night with 3 children, ordered room service, and needed a crib. They provided everthing promptly. My son developed an ear infection from the flight, the front desk gave us directions to the nearest emergency room (4am!).

I have stayed at the Crowne Plaza for several months. The location,staff, and all amenities are exceptional in all areas. Have already recommended this property to others.

Staff very friendly and helpful Rooms are on the small side for 3 men. Bus & Subway 1-1? hrs. to Manhattan. Very close to airport, shuttle service.

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza hotel near Lga. My overall experience was good. Room was nice , but could be updated. Staff were accomodating & depending on which staff assisted you, service was enhanced.
