Multiple calls to summon shuttle because front desk forgot. Room, on Priority Club floor, may have the poorest sound insulation I've ever had. In the morning, front desk again forgot to call a cab to Midtown, but a car showed (an obvious kick-back). Poor service, all amenities on the cheap side. Skip it.

Sweet 16 - posted on 01/03/2007

I stayed at this hotel while in NY for my daughter's Sweet 16 birthday. The experience was ok, I especially liked the fact that I had shuttle access. It allowed me to go directly to the airport to catch the bus into the city. The 7 train is near the hotel; however, if you are taking it at night you may feel uncomfortable walking alone in an unfamiliar area. It is about a 7-10 min walk. They should update their information booklet to reflect that "complimentary internet service" is only available to guests who have laptops. It is misleading.

This hotel switched the night we stayed from Ramada. Hopefully, HH will come in and clean this place up!! Pool had weird hour, little communication when requesting items. Don't stay on 6th because 5th is smoking and the smell fills hallway. Rooms are small and bathroom smaller. Your walk to subway is not the pretty part of New York! Work center charges by the minute for internet access with minimum of $3. I was truly embarrassed as I booked this for a girls fun trip. No breakfast offered. This would be a good place to start a hotel.

Excellent Service! - posted on 06/03/2006

Despite of the negative reviews, we decided we would try this hotel as it was so close to Shea Stadium. We were blown away by the kind and helpful staff at this Ramada. They gave us directions and tips on getting into Manhattan and leaving the NYC area. We would definitely stay here again.

Meet the folks at Ramada LaGuardia - posted on 05/15/2006

For the Most part, what do you expect for a three star hotel. It serve its purpose, but it could be much more if they sweat the details of customer service. They had a High Speed internet outlet in the room, but i never was able to use it because the front desk never was able to give me the right wall socket cable for it. They sent four people to the room to see if i was wrong and problem was never solved. Strange!!!

Never again - posted on 04/24/2006

I have stayed here multiple times. I keep thinking it will get better; but the poor water pressure, constant smell of smoke, and un-friendly/un-cooperative staff will keep me away for good.

We requested non-smoking but were given smoking (and we booked 5 months in advance). Some staff ignored us and some were excellent. Restaurant is pretty good and decent prices. Would try somewhere else next time.

Courteous personnel, Pine Restaurant very good, clean and bright, excellent and convenient location next to Grand Central Parkway. Nice green setting with good view of Shea Stadium.

Will stay again - posted on 06/22/2005

If you rent a car just take Northern Blvd to the Queensboro Bridge, 15min later you're in Downtown Manhattan. Rooms were clean and affordable, you won't be in your room much anyway, it's NYC Baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not impress!! - posted on 06/07/2005

Some Front desk clerks are rude. Room non-smoking smell moldy and cigar? Restaurant too expensive, ask for take out/delivery restaurant menu. Will not stay again

The hotel is clean and very close to the sub station#7 which is convenient and has free shuttle service but not to the airline of your choice,

Bad Staff All Around - posted on 10/06/2004

HORRIBLE experience. Ongoing contest between front desk staff and restaurant to see who could be more useless. Terrible experience, original room smelled like excrement, could only get me a smoking room as alternative. Even checkout was screwed up; they refused to honour booked rate despite written confirmation. 1-800 operator was able to straighten out in 10 seconds but desk staff basically told us to screw off. Stay AWAY
