The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. If you are a sports fan it is a great location for many events. It is also walking distance to the subway station which can take you to any destination in New York. The facilities were nice although the pool was under some work at my stay but it looked very nice. The room was very small for an upscale hotel but we didn't spend much time in the room, but it was clean and housekeeping was just excellent. I wouldn't mind staying there again.

It was great that the subway station was within walking distance.

It is the perfect place to stay if you need to go to LaGuardia airport or to ride the #7 train into Manhattan. It is easily accessible from Grand Central Parkway. The staff was more than willing to help out with any needs, including taking us and other guests to the train station. We were very pleased with the hotel, staff and location and will definitely stay there next time we visit New York.

The staff was very helpful and attentive.

Not enough parking, but that's New York anyway.

This 217-room property is now the Holiday Inn LaGuardia Airport and is the only hotel within easy walking distance of Shea Stadium, the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center and Flushing Meadows Corona Park. The hotel has full services for both business and leisure traveler and provides a complimentary shuttle 24/7 to LaGuardia Airport. The property is eight miles from Manhattan and five blocks from the number seven train station which has direct service to Grand Central Station and Times Square. The hotel has seven meeting rooms for business and social functions.

There was a time when this was a Ramada Plaza and reviewers warned others not to stay here. That has changed. Now clients are saying the property offers good value for money. And that is something hard to find this close to New York City. Friendly and helpful staff impressed several clients who said they would use the property on future visits to New York. Most recent guests said they would recommend the hotel to family and friends. The hotel is the preferred hotel of the New York Mets which must count for something.
