I was pleasantly surprised at how quaint and almost old fashioned this hotel was. Still used large gold keys for rooms. Lobby was large and inviting; rooms clean; lots of towels. I've stayed in quite a few unpleasant rooms of late traveling to us many times this year. This was a welcome surprise. Would stay again for sure.

I loved how quaint it was; still used real room keys.

Front desk clerk could be much friendlier.

The Lord Amherst Hotel is an ideal place to visit attractions and shopping malls of Buffalo. The property, located 4.5 miles from Buffalo-Niagara International Airport, is a short drive from Niagara Falls, NFL Football Buffalo Bills, Ralph Wilson Stadium and Kleinhans Music Hall. There are three different types of rooms: double bed rooms, suites and furnished apartments. Guests can enjoy extended continental breakfast daily, relax in swimming pool, work out in onsite exercise room and keep in touch with family and friends via Internet. The hotel also provides facilities for banquets and conferences.

This no frills hotel is a good choice for budget travelers. Most of the guests were happy with amenities, location, price and service. They liked spacious comfortable clean rooms, food at the restaurant, continental breakfast, free Internet and friendly staff. It was good value for money. However, some guests complained about unkempt and dirty rooms, noise, musty smell, limited options for breakfast and rude staff.
