Excellent hotel for the price. I stayed two nights in a nicely-furnished single king room, albeit a smoking one. Hotel was very clean, staff was nice and helpful at every step of the way and I was pleased with the room quality. Would stay again if I were traveling in Albany in a Heartbeat.

Very close to I-90 & NYS Thruway.

Limited nonsmoking rooms.

The Holiday Inn Express Albany Western Ave University is well located and boasts very friendly and attentive staff members. The hotel appears to be a newer hotel that is well kept. Guest rooms are modern and clean with comfortable beds and nice flat screen televisions, although some guests have mentioned that the rooms are on the smaller side. In the morning the hotel offers a free hot breakfast buffet that is very good with a variety of choices. The amenities are great and the rate is very affordable.
