The Clarion Hotel in Albany offers convenient direct access into Albany and is three miles from the Empire State Plaza Complex and the Times Union Center indoor arena. It is within close proximity to local attractions such as the USS Slater US Navy Destroyer Shop, the College of Saint Rose, Siena College, the University of Albany, the State University of New York, and the Albany International Airport. Visitors will enjoy touring the historic downtown district and the many nearby museums. The Convention Center, government buildings, and several restaurants are also in the vicinity. The banquet and meeting facilities are available for both corporate functions and social events--welcoming both business and leisure guests.

While a small minority of guests agree that their stay at the Clarion Hotel in Albany was worth the expense, the majority of guests complain of the unclean rooms, unfriendly staff, and a not-so-good breakfast. The free airline transportation is a welcomed amenity; however, the most important aspect of a pleasurable hotel stay involves clean and comfortable rooms and beds--and this seems to be an issue that the Hotel needs to work on before it can be wholeheartedly recommended.
