The Hampton Inn in Taos, New Mexico has many attractions nearby that you can enjoy. There’s the Kit Carson Home and Museum with real artifacts from his life. The Hacienda de los Martinez shows how life was in the early 1800s. If you like art, there’s the Fechin Institute or the Harwood Museum of Art. Other museums in Taos are the Millicent Rogers Muesum and the Blumenschein Home and Muesum. There’s snow skiing in Taos Ski Valley or you can go whitewater rafting on the Rio Grande at Taos Box. You can hike, climb or bike in the mountains during the summer. You can also visit Taos Pueblo and see an ancient American Indian community. Restaurants in this area include El Taosena Restaurant, Jacquelina’s Restaurant and the Stakeout Grill and Bar. This hotel is very close to central plaza. Ask the friendly multi-lingual staff if you have any questions or you need directions to other attractions.

I’m not sure if I would recommend the Hampton Inn in Taos, New Mexico to my family and friends because of the mixed reviews. The staff is gracious and accommodating and offer great service. The rooms are clean with very comfortable beds. Housekeeping does a great job of refreshing the rooms but they knocked on guest room doors before nine. The hot tub had black grime on the sides and the pool looked dirty. Read our customer reviews?

From Albuquerque - Take I-25 North 55 miles to Santa Fe, exit on St Francis North, stay on St Francis as it turns into Highway 68 North to Taos, travel approximately 70 miles to Taos and the Hampton Inn is on the right hand side of Highway 68 as you enter Taos. From Sante Fe - Take Highway 68 North, approximately 70 miles and the Hampton is on the right hand side as you enter Taos. From Colorado Springs - Take I-25 South, approximately 100 miles to Walsenburg exit and follow signs to Highwy 61 West to Fort Garland, approximately 40 miles, turn left at the only stop light in Fort Garland onto Highwy 68, stay on 68 South, approximately 60 miles to Taos, follow the highway through the town, continuing south and the Hampton Inn is on the left approximately two and a half miles south of the Plaza.
