Overall - Good Trip - posted on 11/02/2006
Yes, the rooms are small, but we weren't there that much anyway. The staff was very friendly and rooms were nicely cleaned each day. Wonderful complementary breakfast! Close to main roads. Would stay again. No problem.

Well over a mile from the Plaza, not an awful walk if in good shape for the altitude. Lousy TV reception. Poor A/C Front desk help among the few unfriendly people I met in Santa Fe
OK, sorta run down - posted on 05/28/2006
Tiny pool, tiny room. Plaza is pretty long walk. You'd be better off to get something cheaper, farther away from plaza (we drove and parked). Hotel is kinda run down. A/C would shut off, and was noisy.

I spent 2 nights there on business and felt the room was rather small. I can`t imagine a family in that space. I was disapointed in 2 things, the plumbing in the tub was slow to drain ( standing in soapy water ) , and the pillows were so flat it took 2 to make 1. On the plus side the free continental breakfast was good, close to the plaza. and good access to I-25
Great Stay! - posted on 09/22/2005
I loved this hotel! The Sage is the best in Santa Fe for a middle class person looking for value for the money. The staff was excellent. The pool was a great load of fun. And the free breakfast was great! The room was clean and had high speed internet which I need badly for my job. I am so happy with this hotal and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Santa Fe.

We booked this hotel in a package deal. After reading the reviews we were more than a little apprehensive about staying at the place. We were very pleasantly surprised. Our room, while not luxurious, was clean and certainly adequate. Breakfast included boiled eggs, cereal, muffins, bagels, fruit, juice. It is located across the street from the Farmers Market which was open on Saturday. We found nothing wrong with the hotel. Worth the money and we would return.

Stayed one night int his hotel, The room was filthy, the sheets had not been changed from the previous occupant as was evident by the used tissue under my pillow and body hair. Disgusting!

My experience at this Sleep Inn was nice. My room included breakfast and high speed internet, which is very important to me. Front desk clerks were friendly

We booked 2 rooms through an online service and had confirmations but arrived to find the tiny office packed with people. They had double and tripled booked rooms, giving guests keys to rooms that were already occupied, denying confirmations and ignoring people. The manager went into the back room and hid, leaving a poor befuddled teenager to stand there helplessly. These people have no idea how to run a hotel or use their internet service.
Location Is Good - posted on 08/31/2004
We were in Santa Fe for the weekend and found the Budget Inn to be a good place to stay. The staff at check were courteous and efficient. The rooms are small, but were clean and comfortable. The location is good; it is a short walk to the plaza.
