Does HotelsByCity recommend this hotel?
The Bishop's Lodge Spa and Ranch Resort is in a beautiful area with wonderful mountain sunsets and a ranch-resort feel surrounded by the national forest. While it is a little high-priced, the comfort of the rooms and the close proximity to so many historic areas is worth it. The on-site Restaurant is a plus. Some guests are not happy with the $14.50 per person resort fee. But it comes in handy when needing to use the Shuttle to and from the downtown area a few times or when enjoying a massage in the Spa, for example. Many guests have been happy with the kid-friendly atmosphere. It is also a good place for business conferences. Some people don't like some of the rustic rooms, but the rooms are clean, and it is done that way on purpose to achieve the Southwestern feel.
