The La Fonda on the Plaza is a located in the heart of historic downtown Santa Fe and within steps of the actual Plaza. It is a favorite of locals and visitors alike and is within walking distance of shops, restaurants, museums, and galleries. It features its own award-winning restaurant and is famous for its much-loved pueblo-style and Spanish architecture and Southwestern style furnishings. It is an ideal choice for visitors to the nearby newly reconstructed Convention center as well as for family vacationers, couples, and individual leisure travelers. La Fonda is especially popular for weddings, receptions, and banquets.

La Fonda on the Plaza is highly recommended. Most guests love the location--right at the Plaza and within walking distance of nearly anything important. While most guests loved their rooms, a few complained of the rooms being too small. For the most part, the staff is viewed as being very helpful and friendly. La Fonda on the Plaza Accommodations

The five-level La Fonda on the Plaza offers 167 guest rooms (all non-smoking). Each room has its own individual theme, and there are a variety of room sizes ranging from traditional guest rooms to deluxe suites (14 luxury accommodations). The bedding is plush and comfortable (nightly turndown service is featured), and many rooms have fireplaces and balconies. All guest rooms include the following: luxurious pillow-top beds, plush terrycloth bathrobes, a coffeemaker, cable television, in-room movies, in-closet safe, a hair dryer, iron/ironing board, high-speed wireless internet access, and voice messaging service.

In addition to the wonderful guest room amenities at La Fonda on the Plaza, guests can also enjoy the heated swimming pool, massage room, fitness center, exercise room, and men’s and women’s steam rooms and showers. Santa Fe is approximately 60 miles north of Albuquerque . As you leave the airport, take the Sunport exit to I-25 North. When you reach Santa Fe , take Exit# 284, Old Pecos Trail. At the stop sign at the top of the hill, turn left. Proceed north to the third traffic light and bear right to stay on Old Pecos Trail into town. Old Pecos Trail becomes Old Santa Fe Trail which dead ends into La Fonda at Water Street . Go around the hotel by turning left on Water, then making an immediate right. At the traffic light at San Francisco Street , turn right again — away from the Plaza and toward St. Francis Cathedral. Proceed to the hotel’s parking garage at the end of the block, on the right side of the street.
