Inn on the Alameda comes highly recommended. Most guests have found it to be charming, delightful, clean, and comfortable. A few guests interpret the coziness of the rooms as being too small, but most people like that. The staff is very nice and helpful in coordinating things for the guests. Inn on the Alameda has 71 rooms/suites (including some casita-style suites)--all with their own private entrances. The rooms feature local artwork and unique handmade furnishings in the Southwestern style. Some rooms have a lounging sofa, and all beds are triple-sheeted with 300 count Egyptian cotton sheets. Plush Italian robes welcome each guest and rooms are also equipped with an iron/ironing board, hair dryer, coffeemaker, cable TV with free HBO, in-room data ports, free local and 1-800 calls, and all rooms are air-conditioned. Many of the rooms have cozy Kiva fireplaces, patios, balconies, or even mini-fridges.
Guests are welcomed each morning at the lavish breakfast buffet along with a complimentary morning newspaper. Complimentary wine and cheese is offered in the afternoon. There is a Guest E-mail Center and free WiFi access. Within the beautiful courtyard guests can enjoy one of two outdoor whirlpools. Other amenities include an exercise room, a library with books and games, on-site laundry facilities, same-day dry cleaning service, and on-call massage therapy.
From the Albuquerque International Airport or Interstate 25: Take I-25 North to Santa Fe and exit at Exit #284 (Old Pecos Trail). Turn left on to Old Pecos Trail and follow it north towards down town. Pass through two sets of traffic lights (Old Las Vegas Highway and Zia Road). At third traffic light (St. Michael's Drive) bear right in order to stay on Old Pecos Trail. Pass through traffic light at the intersection of Cordova Road and continue until you reach Paseo de Peralta. Turn right at this traffic light. Paseo de Peralta will veer to the left after one block. The Inn is located at the next traffic light, on the right, at the northeast corner of East Alameda and Paseo de Peralta.
