good hotel for family that doesn't want to spend too much. It was an older hotel that, on the outside, looked like it would be musty old rooms, but the rooms were larger than newer hotels, and had been nicely redone.

Spacious room, remodeled bathroom.

Outside looked older, but room surprised us.

Although the decor is a bit out of date and showing its age, the rooms and facilities at the Best Western Sands are clean and comfortable. Located near the many off the beaten path activities of Raton, New Mexico, this hotel may not be a destination in itself, but it is definitely a decent place to stay the night. Whether in town for business or just visiting the area, the Best Western Sands is a quiet and comfortable place to stay.
