The hotel is located 40 miles east of Albuquerque in the town of Moriarty known as the "Pinto Bean Capital", putting guests within close proximity to a variety of activities and attractions including the Cibola National Forest, Manzano Lake, the Sandia Peak Wilderness, Paako Ridge Golf Course, and the Sandia Peak ski area. The Super 8 Moriarty is very conveniently located off of I-40, perfect for weary travelers. The hotel boasts friendly staff members, and while very basic in it's accommodations and amenities, has very affordable rates. However, some guests have made comments about some maintenance issues and the need for the hotel to be upgraded -- as well as a few odor issues on different occasions.
